Primer vuelo
Maga Lyrics

Estudiaré a plazos mi respiración
Sus pasos y su risa de leche
Hacen como que se han ido y en cada cara los veo
The lyrics of Maga's song Primer vuelo speaks about the feeling of restlessness and longing for the past. It begins with the metaphor of 'resting like a fish on the wall' to represent the feeling of being stagnant and immovable. The singer then talks about talking to their own feet, hinting at the feeling of being lost and perhaps not knowing where to go or what to do. As the song progresses, one gets the idea that the singer is yearning for the simpler times of their childhood, evoking memories of 'snacks and kisses'.
The following line, "If I could fall where it's darkest," is metaphorical in nature as the singer refers to seeking refuge in the darkness within oneself. The next few lines of the song describe the singer's interaction with people around them, mentioning kids that may be albino and others with snow-filled hands. This image represents the loneliness and disconnection that the singer feels with the world around them. The song ends with the singer hearing the footsteps and laughter of others who might have left, but who still remain present in their memory.
Overall, the song Primer vuelo is about the feeling of being lost and disconnected from the present moment. Its lyrics are poignant and deeply existential, evoking a sense of melancholy and looking back on the past.
