Saw you walking out to me
But your shiver is your heart attack
And the silence that I can't explain
To know when you're the first to go
Well, it's hard just to be alone
Now fading like a photographAnd still you're all I have
'Cause I know you
Oh, it's been a week since I fell apart
They say it's getting better
But if this is the end, then when was the start?
They say it's getting better
I can feel it in my bones
Oh, the sanity is on the line
Oh, I should've gone, I should've known
That you're out of sight, out of mind
But I can't afford to lose the spot
Or you're keeping all in the dark
Now I'm fading like a photograph
I'm too scared that you're all I have
'Cause I know you
Oh, it's been a week since I fell apart
They say it's getting better
But if this is the end, then when was the start?
They say it's getting better
They say it's getting betterThey say it's getting better
'Cause I know you
But do you know me?
'Cause I know you
Oh, it's been a week since I fell apart
They say it's getting better
But if this is the end, then when was the start?
They say it's getting better
They say it's getting better
They say it's getting better
'Cause I know you
I know, I know, I know
But do you know me?
You know, you know, you know
Do you know me?
The lyrics of Magic Man's song "Out of Mind" express a feeling of anxiety and uncertainty in a failing relationship. The singer is desperate for reassurance that their partner will come back to them, even though they feel like they are slowly fading away. They express this desperation by saying, "I've gotta know you're coming back," and waiting for a response that never seems to come. The line "But your shiver is your heart attack" suggests that the partner is also struggling with this uncertainty and fear, maybe feeling like they are experiencing a panic attack when they think about their relationship.
As the song progresses, the singer reveals that they are having trouble moving on from this relationship. They say "I'm too scared that you're all I have," showing that the thought of being alone without their partner is terrifying to them. The repetition of "They say it's getting better" suggests that the singer is trying to convince themselves that things are improving, even though they feel like they are stuck in a cycle of uncertainty and doubt. The final lines ask the question, "But do you know me?" which shows a deeper longing for connection and understanding within the relationship.
Overall, "Out of Mind" is an emotive song that communicates the feelings of insecurity, loneliness, and longing that can come with a failing romantic relationship.

I know I'm just some random teenager from some random parts of the world and I'm very late to the party but I wish you guys would still make another music, love your music sm
@RAWRWAFL
tell me about it lmao, i bought a magic man sweater around when this came out 😭
@notufon1415
@@RAWRWAFL oh my story meeting their musics is pretty simple kinda, so it all started this year February when suddenly I have obsession with how the media portray the mid/late 10s aesthetic for well a teenager (yk like the Tumblr aesthetic and those thing) then I decided to make a playlist based of that feelings and "obsession", first it was only just bleachers songs and then we'll kinda evolve ever since, then some random night Spotify autoplayed this song which is normal but idk their music just sounds different to me, like literally different from any other songs from the playlist, and ik I i was HOOKED ever since, so sad once again tho I can't experience the era when they were still active, kinda envy you since you had their official merch loll, jk jk, anw hbu btw??
@RAWRWAFL
@@notufon1415 Lmao. I was hooked from the first song i heard from them too, I think it was texas. It was on a livestream for a team fortress 2 tournament, and in the downtime between games the producers played it. It just stood out to me. Luckily the artist and title were on the screen. Probably 2013 or 2014. shoutout truktruk, i think he was doing the production for the stream
@notufon1415
@@RAWRWAFL damn 2013/14??, it's crazy cuz I literally just started elementary school in like 2013/14 lol (I'm 16 now btw lol), also isn't it kinda crazy how music from 10y ago could make 2 ppl from different part of the worlds with totally different experience met like this and well.. just talk Abt the artist works, oh btw also do you know what this genre called??, I'm really into it, I got recommend by Spotify to check out some other artist with the same type of sounds like the colourist, cruisr, coin, and some other, do you knew the genre and maybe could give me some recommendation?, and also I just realized that these type of music genre is included, well, pretty a lot in that fifa soccer games pretty strange but cool ig
@RAWRWAFL
@@notufon1415 I'd just call the genre 2010s indie pop, but thats very broad. The next couple years I did get more into indie pop music, but magic man is pretty unique, i feel. Matt & Kim became my fav band in 2015 and similar stuff I was also listening to was: grouplove, passion pit, two door cinema club, vampire weekend, the postal service, phoenix, mgmt, walk the moon. Realizing now these are all really popular bands and I didn't get deep into 2010s indie pop, but i guess i was satisfied.
Vampire Weekend, Postal Service, and Two Door Cinema Club are probably what I still like the most out of this list. Could play Tourist History on repeat all day. Search up 2010's indie playlists I'm sure theres some great ones on yt or spotify. Shit i'm probably gonna do that and find some stuff i missed out on.

Alex's smile melts my heart.

Can't believe I only just discovered this amazing band - they sound like a cross between Chvrches and Walk the Moon - plus the singer is gorgeous, can't take my eyes off him!
