Malnatt Lyrics

Trema la mia carne
Tre le mie ragioni
× piangere la tua morte
La tua morte
Un insegnamento
Un continuo esempio
Una come te
Un insegnamento
Unico per me
Un continuo esempio
Uno Nove Tre
Nona sinfonia
Non andare via
Non nasconderti
+ nella mia mente
Nonnasconderti!
La mia mente
La tua no.
The above lyrics are from the song Yggdrasill 3-1-9 by the Italian black metal band Malnatt. The title of the song refers to Norse mythology and specifically the world tree, Yggdrasil. The lyrics start with "trentaquattro anni" which translates to "34 years". The following line "trema la mia carne" translates to "my flesh trembles". The repetition of the number three in the next line "tre le mie ragioni" which means "three are my reasons" creates a sense of urgency and importance.
The next line "piangere la tua morte" means "to cry for your death" and indicates that the song is about mourning someone's death. This is reinforced in the following line "la tua morte" which translates to "your death". The rest of the lyrics express the personal significance of the person who has died. The lines "un insegnamento unico per me" which means "a unique teaching for me" and "un continuo esempio" meaning "a continuous example" suggest that the person who has died was a mentor or role model to the singer.
The repetition of "non andare via" which means "do not go away" and "non nasconderti" which translates to "do not hide" implies a sense of desperation and loss. The final line "la mia mente, la tua no" which means "my mind, not yours" indicates that the singer is struggling with their memories and emotions around the person who has died. Overall, the lyrics express a sense of grief and personal loss, while also paying tribute to the importance of the person who has died.
