These seven vatos all have one thing in common - their love for classic punk rock. Manic Hispanic take the punk songs that they love but they add a large dose of barrio humor. Manic Hispanic came together in the early-1990's as "part of a work release program. The idea was formed by OC Probation Officer Freddie Gomez, 'I thought if I could keep these guys on a stage, they would stay out of trouble on the streets.'" So far, so good. The plan has worked. Instead of a life of lock downs and orange jumpsuits, they are now playing sold out shows and busting out the jokes.

Members of Manic Hispanic have been in and are currently in: The Adolescents, Cadillac Tramps, The Grabbers, Punk Rock Karaoke, The X-Members, 22 Jacks, Final Conflict, Agent Orange and NOFX.

@BarrioPunkRock The land belonged to the native American Indian tribes before it belonged to anyone else. This is like watching two dogs fight over a bone they stole from somebody else. The US Congress passed the Indian removal act which precipitated the mass forced march relocation of native American tribes who lived there 1st. The Navajo had the "Long Walk", the Cherokee: the "Trail of tears". Don't claim the land is Mexican or American. Land was taken by extermination of natives.

Not stolen. Fought for and won, or seceded lands, or purchases. The Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, and Dutch.. all were immigrants. Some, not all, natives didn't like that and fought. They had bone and stone weapons, and had never even built a two story house nor knew anything about forging weapons.. the Euros had better tech, better medicine, better construction. Not all Ame. Indians had problems with the influx of these euro-migrants, and had they never been 'discovered', I doubt if the present day would be any different from their past. the inbreeding was rampant, slavery of other tribes, and constant wars between them, shows it wasn't just Euros they were against, they were against anyone in 'their territory'. More Ame. Indians killed other A.I.s than the Euros ever did. If these tribes and cultures actually had some intelligence, invented stuff, and an interest in the scientific method , they maybe would have come to a better conclusion for themselves. But they didn't. They were by all accounts, savages. And they are people I have a lot of respect for, but not in the science/tech field. There's no land that hasn't been taken over by superior forces that I'm aware. So, stop with the butthurt, and make things better. Live by example, not live in the past.

Well in my opinion Rancid, NOFX, Pennywise, and Bad Religion. Aren't punk either. The only good songs by the Offspring is Kill The President and L.A.P.D.
