Tu partais quand je dormais
J'étais plus le plus beau, j'étais plus le plus fort
On passait sans se voir
On s'aimait sans se croire
Je voulais assurer
Tu voulais frissonner
On a cru que c'était foutu
On a cru qu'on avait perdu
On a cru que c'était fini
On a cru que c'était pour la vie
Je n'aimais plus ton parfum
Je ne te faisais plus rire
Tu criais pour des riens
Tu douchais mes désirs
On ne se parlait plus
On ne se touchait plus
Tu ruminais mes humeurs
Chaque fois que tu regardais ailleurs
On a cru que c'était foutu
On a cru qu'on avait perdu
On a cru que c'était fini
On a cru que c'était pour la vie
Tu as su trouver les mots
Réveiller mon ardeur et ma foi
J'était à nouveau ton héro
J'ai pas aimé la vie sans toi
On a trouvé les mots
On a osé tourner les pages
Sur nos fugues et nos dérrapages
On a cru que c'était foutu
On a cru qu'on avait perdu
On a cru que c'était fini
On a cru que c'était pour la vie
On a cru que c'était pour la vie
The song "On A cru" by Marc Lavoine tells the story of a complicated relationship between two people who have lost the spark in their love. The first verse explains how they used to spend time together, but they no longer saw each other due to their conflicting schedules. They loved each other, but neither of them believed they could achieve what they wanted in the relationship. The second verse describes how their communication had broken down so much that they were barely speaking to each other. They were no longer in love, and they were not making each other happy. It seemed like they were quickly reaching the end of their relationship.
However, just when things seemed irreparable, the woman in the relationship found the right words to make her partner remember why he had fallen in love with her in the first place. They discussed their issues and worked to turn the page on their previous mistakes. They rediscovered the love they had lost, and everything seemed possible again.
This song accurately portrays the struggles and difficulties often faced by couples who go through rough patches in their relationships. But it also demonstrates that true love can overcome even the most challenging obstacles if both parties are willing to work at it.
