Caballo blanco en un
Dia domingo feliz arrancara
Iba con la mira de llegar al
Norte abiendo salido de
Guadalajara
Su noble jinete le
Quito la silla y se
Fue apuro pelo
Cruso como rallo
Tierras nayaritas
Entre serros berdes y
El azul del cielo
A paso mas lento
Llego asta escuinapa
Y por culiacan lla se
Andaba quedando
Dicen que cojiaba de
La pata izuierda que
Llebaba todo el osico sangrando
Pero lo miraon pasar
Por sonora el valle
Del yaqui le dio su
Ternura
Cuentan que cojiaba
De la pata izquierda
Y apesar de todo
Siguio su abentura
Llego asta hermosillo
Siguio pa caborca
Y por mexicali sintio
Que moria subio paso
A paso por la rumorosa
Llegando a tijuana con
La luz del dia
Cumplida su asaña
Llego a rosarito y
No quiso echarse asta
Ber ensenada
Este es el corrido
Del caballo blanco
Que sali un domingo
De guadalajara...
The song "El Caballo Blanco" by María Dolores Pradera is a ballad that tells the story of a white horse that embarks on a journey from Guadalajara to the north. The lyrics are written in the style of a corrido, a narrative song that has its roots in Mexico's history and culture. The horse's owner sets him free on a Sunday and the noble animal takes off with the goal of reaching the north. Along the way, the rider takes off his bridle and saddle, letting the horse run wild and free.
The horse runs through the hills and valleys of Nayarit and Sinaloa, making its way up to Sonora, where it is said to have been injured and bleeding from its mouth and leg. Despite its injuries, the horse continues on its journey, and the people of Sonora show it love and compassion. The horse passes through several towns and cities, including Hermosillo, Caborca, and Mexicali, and finally arrives in Tijuana with the daylight. The horse completes its journey by going to Rosarito, but it refuses to lay down until it reaches Ensenada.
The song is a celebration of the freedom and strength of the white horse, which represents the resilience of the Mexican people. It also highlights the beauty of Mexico's landscape and the kindness of its people. The song has become an anthem of sorts for those who are proud of their Mexican heritage and the country's rich culture.
