Es porque he comprendido
Que soy la nube gris
Que nubla tu camino
Me voy para dejar
Que cambie tu destino
Que seas muy feliz
Y otra vez volveré a ser
El errante trovador
Que va en busca de un amor
Del amor de una mujer
Se perdió el celaje azul
Donde brillaba la ilusión
Vuelve la desolación
Vivo sin luz
Si me alejo de ti
Es por que yo quisiera
Que seas muy feliz
Aunque mi amor se muera
Me voy sin perturbar
Tus sueños tan queridos
Me voy con el pesar
De no ser comprendido
Si me alejo de ti
Es porque he comprendido
Que soy la nube gris
Que nubla tu camino
Me voy para dejar
Que cambie tu destino
Que seas muy feliz
Mientras yo busco olvido
Y otra vez volveré a ser
El errante trovador
Que va en busca de un amor
Del amor de una mujer
Se perdió el celaje azul
Donde brillaba la ilusión
Vuelve la desolación
Vivo sin luz
The song Nube Gris by Maria Dolores Pradera depicts a bittersweet farewell from the singer to their lover, acknowledging that their presence only brings a dark cloud over their partner's path. The singer has come to the realization that they are not the source of happiness and seeks to leave to allow their lover to find true joy while they search for a way to forget their love. Throughout the song, the singer wishes for their lover's happiness, even if it means sacrificing their own love and desires. The song's message is one of selfless love and the acceptance of heartbreak as a necessary step towards closure and acceptance.
The chorus of the song highlights the singer's desire to become an "errante trovador," a wandering troubadour, searching for love and fulfillment elsewhere. This symbolizes an internal journey towards self-discovery and healing, one that the singer hopes will bring them peace and closure. The mention of the lost "celaje azul," or blue sky, speaks to the loss of hope and optimism that once shone brightly in their relationship. The line "vivo sin luz," or "living without light," conveys the depths of the singer's despair and their willingness to endure pain for the sake of their lover's happiness.
