Emilien Vincent (guitarist) joined the band shortly after and completed the original lineup; they recorded the demo disc Poussières de Vie in August 2004. It was well received by musical critics and public, so the band set off on a concert tour during 2004 and 2005. After a period of collaboration, Emilien Vincent left the group to focus on his personal projects. Alina and David continued together to write compositions for their future album and to look for musicians who would be better suited to their musical project.
Several changes of line-up delayed the album release far more time than expected. Nevertheless, the lineup was completed in July 2005 with the addition of Franck Chentrier and Nicolas Thomas (guitars), and a little later Gautier Blondeel (bass guitar).
Finally, it was with this stable line-up that Markize recorded their first album Transparence. The band gave several concerts in Paris (with Penumbra at Salle Curial, with Cult of Luna at La Locomotive...) and also in different regions of France. Notable is their contribution to the world of french metal with the track Paperdoll.
The album Transparence has been on sale since the 10th of March 2007 with Acropole Records and has received critical acclaim. Markize toured in Paris and Provence in May, June and July of 2007 in support of the album.
In August 2007, Gautier Blondeel left the band to dedicate himself to his family life. After several auditions, Pierre Vo was chosen to be the new Markize bassist for his personal and musical qualities.
The concerts began again in September 2007, and in October Markize took part in the MFVF Warm-up show in Belgium and was selected to play in the famous Metal Female Voices Fest 6 in October 2008, an annual event to celebrate famous metal bands with female singers.

Pardonne moi
Markize Lyrics

Que ton absence a creusé ;
Aime-moi !
Pardonne-moi !
Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée,
Pardonne-moi !
Tu as préféré oublier,
Papa.
Pardonne-moi !
Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée,
Pardonne-moi !
Tu as préféré oublier,
Je me noie,
Dans l'abyme ou tu m'envoie
Pardonne-moi !
Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée,
Pardonne-moi !
Tu as préféré oublier,
Pardonne-moi !
Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée,
Pardonne-moi !
Pardonne-moi !
The lyrics of Markize's song "Pardonne-moi" are a heart-wrenching account of a child desperately seeking her father's love and forgiveness. The song begins with the singer expressing her longing for her absent father, who she has never met but feels a deep connection to. She only has a damaged photograph of him as a clue to his existence, and she has been unable to fill the void left by his absence.
As the song progresses, the singer reveals that she has lived most of her life unaware of the pain she carried within her. She only began feeling the full extent of her longing for her father when she became a parent herself. She questions if she is the problem and if there is something wrong with her, wondering how her father can abandon her own child.
The chorus is a plea for forgiveness from her father, who abandoned her when she was young, leaving her unprotected even as his own blood flows through her veins. Despite his actions, she remains devoted to him, feeling lost and drowning in the abyss he has left her in. The song ends with the singer's final plea for her father to forgive her and accept her back into his life.
Markize's "Pardonne-moi" is a song that speaks to the universal longing for love and acceptance from those who should have been there for us but were not. It is a reminder of the deep scars abandonment can leave behind and the power of forgiveness to heal even the most profound wounds.

I have searched all around me for your unexpected presence,
But the only clue I found was a damaged photo,
No, I don't know you but your life flows deep within me,
I have tried in vain to forget the emptiness of these past years,
Que ton absence a creusé ;
That your absence has dug;
Crois-tu qu'elles seront comblées ?
Do you think they will be filled?
I have lived a long time in unawareness of the pain,
But it was secretly rotting in my heart,
To awaken today when the child has grown up,
Et pour me hanter, me torturer encore, encore la nuit
And to haunt me, torture me still, still at night
Suis-je une étrangère pour toi ?
Am I a stranger to you?
Qu'est ce qui ne va pas en moi ?
What is wrong with me?
Aime-moi !
Love me!
Pardonne-moi !
Forgive me!
Pourquoi m'as-tu abandonnée,
Why did you abandon me,
Tu as préféré oublier,
You preferred to forget,
Ton enfant, même ton sang,
Your child, even your blood,
You let it flow, without even protecting it,
Mais malgré ça je reste à toi,
But despite that, I still belong to you,
And I continue my path, despite the lack, despite the absence,
Suffocating the emptiness with forgetfulness, with ignorance,
Yet tell me, how can one forget a part of oneself?
In everything I do, I still find you, you, dad.
Papa.
Dad.
I hurt so much, hear me, feel my soul lost without you,
Où est-tu ? Je me noie,
Where are you? I am drowning,
Dans l'abyme ou tu m'envoie
In the abyss you send me
Pardonne-moi !
Forgive me!
