I was in my mums car with my 92 year old grandad, He started singing this song gently and I asked him what song it was. He suffers from Dementia and it took him a while to think of the name, he said “Born free that’s it born free!” I typed it up on YouTube for this song to come on and when I played it his face lit up with joy and he looked so happy :)

I have walked with lions in Zambia ...one male and two females, under three years old ,and about to be released into the wild . They were not tame. I had the great privilage of hearing Mat Monro live in Birmingham in 1968 what a performer. I rate Born Free one of my favourit songs of all time. The best vocalist the UK ever produced.
