I see a lot of comments about Life Is Strange. Truth be told, I was one of those earlier comments. That’s exactly how I ended up here too, but now this song has a completely different meaning to me and I couldn’t leave without sharing it. So, here goes.
Much like Chloe, I had a friend go missing during the pandemic. Well, she was more than a friend. So much more. She really pushed me to become the person I am today, without her I wouldn’t have found the courage to do much of anything. We hadn’t talked in years, not since we graduated but there wasn’t a day that went by that I didn’t think about her. That I didn’t wish I could go back, do it differently so I didn’t break her heart over my own stupid bullshit. I still think about the plans we made, it’s still a dream I hold onto. Starting over, making a new life in a new place where nobody knows we even exist. That dream keeps me going after all these years, even if I’m never going to be able to make them happen with her and it hurts to admit it.
She and I are the mountains in this song. Chloe and Rachel are too, which is only one reason out of a laundry list why I say I see so much of myself and her in Chloe and Rachel. Two lovers who want nothing more than to run away with each other, but when they try they realize there’s so much more they’re tied to. And by the time they’re able to, it’s far too late. To this day, this song brings me to tears. But now, it’s for a much different reason than reminding me of a sad scene in a video game.
Through everything that happened with her, and everything else I’ve had to endure in life, music has been one of my only outlets where I can really get my emotions out of my system. Whether it’s writing my own music or having the same song on loop for half an hour because it perfectly describes what I feel in the moment, it’s been the only thing keeping me sane. And going off that, I can’t tell you how many times I have listened to this song over the last couple years. Thank you for helping me make it through the hardest time of my life, I don’t know what else I can really say to express how grateful I am because words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now. I wish the best of luck to you in your future endeavors, and I’ll be looking forward to hearing more of your work in the future.

Man tears where shed when they found Rachel in the junkyard..The song fits perfectly with what's happening in the episode. I must say I did not enjoy playing episode 4. Everything is messed up with all people around Max. Such a dark episode...
