Combining a passion for J.K. Rowling and the wonders of the digitial age, Ministry of Magic presses the genre of wizard rock into a newer, less visited world: wizardtronic. The music of MoM is a tapestry of orchestra, pop, rock, dance, and hip-hop carefully woven to create a full sensory experience for the type of fan attracted to wizard rock: imaginative, discerning, and filled with an appetite for something more than just the middle of the road.
They were signed to Indytronic Records until that label's dissolution. As of 2010, they have released five albums -- four LPs and an EP. The Triwizard Lp (2007), Goodbye Privet Drive (2008), Acoustiatius (EP, 2008), and Onward and Upward were released under Indytronic Records, and their latest offering, Magic is Might (2010), was released independently. In addition, members Mark Jennings and Jason Munday, along with Jeremy Jennings, worked on a side project under the name "Muggle Relations". Their lone EP to date is titled "I Must Not Tell Lies" (2009).
They have collaborated with a few wizard rock artists such as The Remus Lupins, Kristina Horner from The Parselmouths and The Moaning Myrtles. MoM was also featured on 'Jingle Spells' and 'Jingle Spells 2', two charity compilation albums to raise money for Book Aid International.

The sky was ash to match the headstones
When he was born between gothic graves
Flesh of the servant willingly given
And the enemy forced to bleed
(Nina)
Please have mercy
(VoldeMark)
Stand aside you silly girl!
Pre-chorus (Jason)
Elementary charms have gotten you this far
It’s only a matter of time
Escaped him once but you will not again
Even in dreams he haunts you
Chorus (VoldeMark)
Love: your so-called savior
Your iron shield
You’re playing a dangerous game
Love: when all has ended
No good or evil
Only power remains
Verse 2 (Luke)
I am fire and fear and dry bones
The same charm flows in my veins
By seven anchors bound to breathing
That scar's the seal on your fate
(Nina)
Please have mercy
I’ll do anything
(VoldeMark)
Stand aside you silly girl!
Pre-chorus (Jason)
Elementary charms have gotten you this far
It’s only a matter of time
Escaped him once but you will not again
Even in dreams he haunts you
Chorus (VoldeMark)
Love: your so-called savior
Your iron shield
You’re playing a dangerous game
Love: when all has ended
No good or evil
Only power remains
Bridge (VoldeMark)
You’re alone
And you’re mine
Time to die
Chorus (Nina)
He will survive
Some rules even you can’t bend
You play a dangerous game
Strength sublime
Alive in his very skin
Love alone remains
Chorus (Nina w/ VoldeMark)
(Love; your so-called savior)
He will survive
(Your iron shield)
Some rules even you can’t bend
(You’re playing a dangerous game)
You play a dangerous game
(Love: when all has ended)
Strength sublime
(No good or evil)
Alive in his very skin
(Only power remains)
Love alone remains
The song "Only Power Remains" by Ministry of Magic is an interpretation of the relationship between Voldemort and Harry Potter. It starts with a vivid description of Voldemort's birthplace, indicating his dark beginnings. The first verse describes the suffering and sacrifice of a servant whose "flesh" was willingly given to bring back Voldemort from his formless state. The enemy, who opposed Voldemort's resurrection, was forced to bleed. This implies that Voldemort's birth was accompanied by a lot of violence and bloodshed.
The pre-chorus indicates that Hogwarts students' elementary charms will not protect Harry anymore as Voldemort haunts him, even in his dreams. The chorus reaffirms that love, once a savior and an iron shield for Harry, becomes powerless in the face of destruction. The bridge sees Voldemort telling Harry that he's alone and it’s time for him to die. The second chorus features Nina singing about Harry's survival, the rules he can't change but must survive, and how he plays a dangerous game. The chorus ends with Nina and Voldemort singing together about how only power remains, implying that even after love is gone, the desire for power is what keeps Voldemort alive.
The song beautifully captures the essence of Voldemort's obsession with power and Harry's fight against him. It shows that Harry's courage and love are his most significant weapons, which could ultimately defeat evil, no matter how powerful it seems.

Love this song, love how Lily is basically telling Voldemort his faults and how love is awesome while he just ignores her and goes on about power

I love this song <3 It's brilliant! "It is the quality of one's convictions that determines success, not the number of followers."

"Love is the voice under all silences, the hope which has no opposite in fear; the strength so strong mere force is feebleness: the truth more first than sun, more last than star..."
