1. Moderns (also known as 'The Moderns') was a mod revival band from Sweden that existed from 1979 to 1981. It was made up of three high school friends that had previously served in the british invasion cover band Buddyboys. They self-released an EP, "Got to Have Pop", in January 1979. They also released their final 45 "Ready for the 80s" in 1980 and-- after a successful tour in the UK-- their only LP "Tro, Hopp & Fruktan" in 1981.
2. The Moderns was a garage rock band from Australia. Samuel John Rees fronting the band, Willi Hamilton wielding a 335 high in the air, Andre Franco slapping the bass and Swanny hitting the hell out of his skins; The Moderns are dirty Gold Coast rockers who are fast becoming the best live rock band in Australia.
After playing their first show in September of 2007, the four of them can now be found loudly unleashing their flavour at every divey dingey club on every corner of every town.
They've been referred to as a glass of coca cola, for some would say, they; 'looks kinda dirty, but go down a treat'.
3. The Moderns was an industrial dance band from Wichita, Kansas (1980's)
4. MODERNS is the Los Angeles-based synth-pop duo of Christopher Fudurich and Rosie Okumura. Fudurich is an engineer, multi-instrumentalist and analog enthusiast. As a producer, he has worked with a variety of pop artists but MODERNS is his first collaboration with his own musical output. Okumura is a songwriter, vocalist, and performer who has partnered with veteran producers. Musically, MODERNS is synth-pop built on an organic foundation.
