Knowing that music was his true calling, at twenty five years old Moises moved to Los Angeles to start working on his first album as a song-writer which he named Correr, Cantar, Volar (To Run, To Sing, To Fly).
“For me, writing music is a great form of expression, I can say things singing that I might have a hard time saying in person” Moises explains. “Words that say what my brain wants to say, with some music that my soul wants to express, the perfect mix for communicating feelings and thoughts with other people”.
This album is a selection of songs composed between 2008 and 2014. It was primarily recorded, mixed and mastered in Moisés’ home studio in Los Angeles, CA, between September 2013 and March 2014. It contains 13 songs, all of them composed, produced and recorded by Moises and based on everyday circumstances that he lived during this time.
Music wise, this album combines Moises’ Latin roots with his rock music background, creating a Pop-Rock-Latin sound dominated by distorted guitars and Latin percussion. “I feel like the title, the sound, and the music all go really well together and represent exactly who I am.” Moises Says. “Positive vibes, positive thoughts and happiness; that’s what my lyrics talk about, that’s what my music reflects and that’s what I want to share; that’s what I want people to receive from me”.
Correr, Cantar, Volar is being release by UNO Productions, Inc, it will be available on November 22nd, 2014. It will be released along with the video of what will be the second single off the album: “Ahora Me Siento Bien” (Now I feel good).
November, 2014.

Tengo
Moises Velasquez Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Tengo, tengo, tengo, tengo, tengo,
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez.
Quiero verte conmigo otra ves.
Tengo, todo lo que piensas y me digas, todas esas cosas divertidas
Tengo todo lo que tú más quieras tengo.
Tengo la sonrisa que tenías esos días que siempre me veías.
Tengo, tengo, tengo, tengo, tengo,
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez.
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez,
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez,
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez,
Quiero verte conmigo otra vez.
Moises Velasquez's song Tengo is a poignant reflection on a past relationship, capturing the complex array of emotions that come with looking back on what was once shared. From the opening lines, "Tengo, tengo todo lo que me has pedido" (I have everything you asked of me), it is clear that the singer of the song has given their all to the relationship and has everything one could ask for. However, the following lines, "Tengo todas esas cosas que me diste, y las cosas que no me dijiste" (I have all the things you gave me, and the things you didn't tell me) suggest that there were still secrets and hidden feelings that were never fully addressed.
The repeated use of the word "tengo" (I have) throughout the song reinforces this theme of possessing all that was once shared, both the good and the bad. The list of possessions includes "todos los abrazos que me diste" (all the hugs you gave me) and "los grandes momentos" (the great moments), as well as "los gritos que me diste" (the shouts you gave me) and "las miradas feas que me hiciste" (the mean looks you gave me). The complexities of the relationship are further emphasized with the lyric "Tengo esas cosas que no me dejaste, y que nunca, nunca demostraste" (I have those things you didn't let me have, and that you never, never showed).
Despite the mixed emotions laid bare in the lyrics, the chorus remains fixated on a desire to reconnect with the subject of the song, repeating "quiero verte conmigo otra vez" (I want to see you with me again). The song thus captures the bittersweet nostalgia of revisiting the past, both missing what was shared and acknowledging its flaws and imperfections.
