Bound for greatness with that kind of goal, trio More Than Electric (MTE), made up of members singer/guitarist Thomas Cupp, Brian Pauline on bass and drummer Brennan Willis, is setting out to do just that with their blend of pop and raw rock tunes that take you back to the days of some serious classic rock.
With such a vast amount of musical groups emerging in recent years, MTE is refreshing and different. Everyone is trying to be differentโฆso how are they doing it so they don't become part of some passing trend? By having a musical style that is constantly evolving and relevant delivered with extreme passion and conviction. Playing concerts large and small, MTE live performances deliver a show with unquenchable energy that leaves people wanting more.
Since their debut indie release, "YesterdayTodayandForever" in 2001, More Than Electric has made some major strides spiritually and musically. While playing out the past couple years, the band has played shows with artists such as Sanctus Real, Five Iron Frenzy, The Benjamin Gate, Tree63, Third Day (Spirit Song Festival), Bleach and several others.
Whatever the future may hold for this trio, More Than Electric agree that God's calling is the driving force behind this music and everything they do.

Are you cominโ from the city?
Youโve been pushinโ the blame
Youโve been playing the game for too long.
Are you goinโ to the country?
Somewhere slower than the city
To forget all your cares
And leave all of your troubles behind?
Itโs all the same wherever you go.
Itโs not gonna change.
Donโt ever let go.
โCause itโs okay.
So, tell me are you happy?
You can run because itโs easy,
You can hide from it all
But it will never resolve without question.
Are you gonna keep a secret
About your life and how you keep it?
โCause I know that itโs rough,
But how much is enough to convince you?
Itโs all the same wherever you go.
Itโs not gonna change.
Donโt ever let go.
Thereโs no more blame when itโs all that you know
Itโs time for a change,
Just take it slow
Itโs not the same wherever you go.
If youโre willing to change you can show...
Who you are (who you are)
I know itโs hard (I know itโs hard)
To do whatโs right (to do whatโs right)
When itโs your life (when itโs your life)
Itโs in your heart (Itโs in your heart)
To know where to start (know where to start)
Hey Mister Lonely
Are you going to the city?
To forget all your cares
And leave all of your troubles behind?
The song "Mister Lonely" by More Than Electric is about the struggles of finding happiness and contentment in life. The lyrics are directed towards a character referred to as "Mister Lonely," who is trying to escape his problems by either leaving the city or going back to it. The singer questions Mister Lonely's decision and encourages him to confront his issues instead of running away. The lyrics suggest that no matter where Mister Lonely goes, his problems will still exist and won't be resolved without introspection and self-reflection. The song emphasizes the importance of taking control of one's life and making changes rather than avoiding them.
The chorus of the song highlights the theme of acceptance and embracing change. The phrase "Itโs all the same wherever you go. Itโs not gonna change. Donโt ever let go," emphasizes the fact that change cannot occur until Mister Lonely acknowledges the issue and takes action to resolve it. The lyrics imply that it's common to feel lonely or lost in life, but it's essential to keep moving forward and not get stuck in a negative mindset. The song provides a message of hope that anyone can change if they are willing to take responsibility and work towards a better life.

@countrygirl countrymusiclover - if you listen to Top 40 Country radio, it's bro country and hick-hop.
There are 15 guys that all sound the same. Tailgate. Truck. Girl. Dirt road. Beer. Every song is some variation of those words. Songwriting is terrible, anything that rhymes. Bubble gum with a fake twang. If you like that, that's fine. I find it vapid and derivative.
@JohnSmithRocx
countrygirl countrymusiclover In the words of Wayne, โYou put the mental in sentimental!โ P.S. George Jones is fantastic! โHe stopped loving her todayโ is one of the best songs ever! And yes, โbro countryโ does exists! Thatโs pretty undeniable at this point! The argument can be made that those songs arenโt real country, and that argument has valid points... but talking about Luke Bryan ๐๐๐ thatโs where you lost me! โSunrise, Sunburn, Sunsetโ or whatever itโs called, possibly the worst song Iโve ever heard! There will always be a remanent of true country (Midland, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, etc.) but not all country is created equal! Donโt stand up for garbage! Itโs okay to not like some country songs and artist, and still love the genre! Just chill
