Italian fashion
Italian mothers
Italian religion
American dreams of conquest:
Falilng in love with italian southern girl
Io e te da un po' ci stiamo influenzando
Non so se così magari negativamente
Poi cadiamo all'indietro in moto perpetuo
Italian old movies and moralism
American death on a tv
Io e te anche e ci raccontiamo
Fortunatamente
Favole, ma poi funzioniamo in modo differente
Io e te all'ingiù
Io e te all'ingiù
(overdub)
Non cogliamo l'occasione adatta
Per dir le cose veramente
Finiamo capovolti e urlanti
A fare bruschi movimenti
Che poi così si rompono gl'incanti
E quel che ci rimane
È materiale per rimpianti
In "Italian Violence," Morgan explores the tension and contradictions inherent in his experience as an Italian artist in a globalized world dominated by American culture. The lyrics appear to be a meditation on the clash between Italian traditions and values - including religion, family, film, and fashion - and the seductive allure of the American Dream. The singer is in a complicated relationship with an Italian southern girl, and they seem to be in a constant struggle to reconcile their divergent backgrounds and perspectives. They orbit around one another like perpetual motion machines, never quite able to connect.
Morgan references the glory and myth of Italian movies as a source of inspiration and guidance for his identity as an artist, but also highlights the hypocrisy and conservatism that often accompanies traditional Italian values. The line "Italian mothers and moralism / American death on a tv" contrasts the rigid morality of Italian society with the violent spectacle of American media, suggesting that both are corrupting influences. The couple in the song struggles to communicate effectively, often resorting to shouting and fighting when words fail them. They seem to be perpetually unsatisfied, always searching for something deeper and more meaningful.

"Canzoni dell'appartamento" questo disco è un capolavoro, tutte le canzoni hanno delle sfumature particolari, un orgoglio per la musica italiana. Sarebbe ancora piu bello e originale una ristampa in vinile
