Grabrede, paradox (paradox)
Wir müssen Acht geben, paradox (paradox)
Werden zum Straftäter, paradox (paradox)
Yeah, Nachtleben, paradox (paradox)
Grabrede, paradox (paradox)
Nachtleben, paradox (paradox)

Paradox
The lyrics of Mortel's song "Paradox" delve into the contradictions and complexities of urban nightlife and the challenges faced by individuals growing up in disadvantaged neighborhoods. The song highlights the paradoxical nature of life in these settings, where one can experience both excitement and danger, wealth and poverty, dreams and harsh realities.
The chorus of the song emphasizes this paradoxical nature, with lines like "Nachtleben, paradox" (Nightlife, paradox) and "Grabrede, paradox" (Eulogy, paradox). It speaks to the contrasting experiences and emotions that can be found in these environments. The lyrics also touch upon the need to be cautious and aware of one's surroundings, as the line "Wir müssen Acht geben, paradox" (We must be careful, paradox) suggests.
The verses describe the gritty realities of living in these neighborhoods, with references to drug use, crime, and the lack of stable family environments. It paints a vivid picture of a world where individuals are forced to grow up too quickly, facing the harsh consequences of their actions. The lyrics address the tensions between aspirations for a better life and the temptations and struggles that come with it.
Overall, "Paradox" serves as a commentary on the contradictions and challenges faced by individuals living in urban areas, exploring themes of duality, danger, and the complex interplay between dreams and realities.
