They said my choices were a mistake. I risked it all. In 10 months I got a bachelors degree, I lost my car but fortunately found a used truck. Moved into a rat infested house because I couldn’t afford anything else but in three days I got it clean. I didn’t know how to build but look at me now…knocking walls down and rebuilding it with no help. My kids look up to me so much. I tackle a project every day. Discipline and mindset. I am not where I want to be but everyday is a step closer.

This is the mentality I had when I became a single dad of three kids who at the time were 4, 1, and 6 months while serving in the military. Many of sleepless nights. Many of days spent fighting and clawing my way through the days because my kids needed me. I didn’t do it for rewards are gratification. I did it cause I am their dad. Went to CDL school back in June of this year and spent $2500 when i already didn’t have a good amount of money. I was promised a job making $1,100 a week but guess what happened? Guy told me it wasn’t available anymore and that was it. I thought it was my ticket out and was dedicated to making it happen. Fast forward to now December 2022 and I’m still hesitant to make a commitment. Been struggling trying to figure out what I could do to make myself feel important. Along the way I’ve realized that I’ve been too nice and relying on others too much. I see now that nobody is gonna come save me and that I have to do it myself. Wish me luck on this journey of the next 6 months of getting myself back together🙌🏾see you guys in June 2023!

Being alone isn't easy it drives you crazy because of loneliness. It's hard to be alone especially when you are dealing with social anxiety because of social media but I learned not to care about other people's negative opinions. I push myself to strengthen my confidence and discipline to remain strong and stay positive. I learn from my past and make it a lesson. The toughest challenges happen to me when I get depressed and almost lose myself but I push myself because no one will push me but only me. I changed my thinking because my thinking drove me crazy but I push myself because my brain is my weapon and I can control to change it and turn it into positive and make it healthy again.
