@festinalente What????Literally What??????? Art is ALWAYS free expression of the imagination and mind. If thats brain washed then we all have a pretty bad case of it, we all are creative and we all do some form of art.
To say it is what makes someone brain washed is a huge level of speculative conjecture, which actually says you are the one brain washed, to make that jump about the mind of someone else you definitely don't know what they are thinking at the time or now, so you can't make that judgement.
Someone screaming at the top of their lungs about how bad societal norms and the government is and you take the approach they must be mind controlled. No, they are literally trying to make everyone see there is absolutely NO REASON for government, it doesn't help us it hurts us. It removes your ability to not be dependent on a system the government created. You follow rules that you have no idea who created them, but you still follow them, why? Why follow blindly societal rules and norms when you know it goes against everything we are as human beings. If you follow societal rules that edit or remove any human rights even a small portion of them, then you just declared who you think God is, you follow the rules of a human over the dictation God granted you free will, listen to humans....but will fight tooth and nail to not listen to God, thats rich. Thats why atheism is not a real thing, the government removed the ability to not believe in a God, they are their God, they are the ones who grant permission and dictate who has basic human rights, prisoners for example do not have basic human rights, they are removed by force, exactly like a God.
Thats what they are trying to get across and at the cost of loosing a few small minded people along the way. You think they sing that to be more unpopular when they could easily choose to be a pop band and go along with the masses and be way more popular, no they are actually sacrificing an increase in fans to get a message out there that NO ONE seems to want to hear and when they do hear it they claim the person is crazy, mind controlled or stupid.
You are talking about a band that literally has an album called The 2nd Law with a song called The 2nd Law: Isolated Systems, with a voice saying "in an isolated system, entropy can only increase." That is actually true, because it is a reference to the Conservation Laws of Thermodynamics.......in which the 2nd Law is "in an isolated system, entropy can only increase."
Thats advanced physics so its not like they are extremely stupid, because NONE of you knew that. And you accuse them of being mind controlled, that law means that they are in an isolated system, we all are, its called Earth. When applied to the Earth it means that it will try to reach an equilibrium with its parent system through entropy and that it will eventually be uninhabitable unless we do something about it while it is in its state of entropy. Thats why people are screaming about Global Warming, Thermodynamics literally dictates its a huge problem and not a goddamn average person wants to do anything about it. They would rather wait until it reaches a temperature that we cannot survive. Thermodynamic Laws are completely unavoidable, it will happen, and mankind will cease to exist at that point.........unless there is a God. And we all better hope there is a God because the stupidity of others gets us killed, its isn't just natural selection that kills us, we literally kill ourselves with stupidity.
I suffer from depression, do you think me learning about that and understanding there is literally nothing we can do because too many people = too many variables, makes my depression any better? No it makes it worse. This pandemic proved that there is nothing any one person can do to fix something, and during this pandemic I have watched good people die, I have had 2 family members die as a result of the stupidity of another person not taking it seriously. I should be depressed we all should, I know who they all are, they are our brothers and sisters. To watch them die without the ability to help them is fucking sickening, depressive and stupid. So thats why I get defensive when I see a comment like this, because it just tells me that someone would rather speculate than to actually want to become part of a collective whole to work together to fix a problem. We never work together, because we always think there is a conspiracy behind it, then if someone else says something thats not the government we accuse them of being government lackeys working with them to control us. WTF. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
