BUT bc I received health insurance from the state for my daughter. THE STATE forced him to pay and, THEN, they forced me to send her, 6 more weeks of traumatizing my baby & forcing her to go; KNOWING something was wrong, but not what. I was threatened with contempt of court - I was naive, scared, single, and 21. I complied with the court's order.

She got her right leg broken 2 weeks later, by this horrible woman. Apparently, she had tried to crawl away after getting her shoes tied, excited to follow big sisiter outside-~~her ankle was grabbed and she was swiftly and forcefully flipped back into a seated position. So roughly-~~ it cause a spiral tibial fracture from the ankle to the knee.
The agony of my child so carelessly maltreated & abused, the terrifying anxiety of being accused by Doctors, nurses, er, and CPS for 2 days, the GUILT that I had allowed my child to be in harm's way... the despair of wondering what else had been done to this baby who, completely stopped talking nearly leveled me & just as heartbreaking: My daughter became nonverbal. She had started talking @ 10 mos but stopped @ 26 mos.

Well, surely charges would be brought against her - might not stick, might not have enough proof I was told.
I flatly REFUSED to allow him, or, anyone he knew to come near from that moment on - then -- the date of the big preliminary hearing... SURELY they would help us be safe. CPS failed to show up to the hearing on time. After a 45 minute recess, Judge didn't even bat an eye... All charges were DROPPED. for lack of sufficient evidence........... HOW?
make it make sense. @ any rate >> BLAME THE CRIMINAL WHO COMMITTED THE CRIME. Moms in these situations are often victims too.

@probityk single parents are in a tough spot. Often CPS calls are ignored or not given enough attention. And if a parent calls regularly, they can pay for that in court. A lot of people don’t know just how careful a single parent has to be.

Here is a quick trick that tends to work a lot better. Don’t make the authorities your first stop unless it’s emergent. Talk to the mandated reporters in your life. Teachers, pediatricians, let them know bloody everything. They’re taken more seriously than a “disgruntled ex”. Share your concerns with them. They’re required to report anything sus. They’re trained to see red flags that regular people aren’t trained to see. And the agencies listen to them as a result

There are a lot of cases of parents losing custody of their children when they allege abuse against the other parent. The abusive parent can claim that the other parent is engaging in "parental alienation." Parental alienation is a real thing sometimes, but it's also used as a weapon to protect manipulative abusers. These are just things I'm observing, but it seems the person with the most resources to fight in court is who will ultimately win, not necessarily the good or safe parent.

Had a similar situation where I was forced until the age of 16 to visit my abusive alcholic fathers house who was very touchy and always wanted me to kiss him and sit in his lap. When my mom took him to court for full custody when I was 13, you know what the judge said? 1) People bury their head in the sand, especially when it comes to child SA. Babies you can talk about for some reason, but preteens are taboo to admit. (In my case, it was argued I just slept around to get dad in trouble... I was 12 when he did it and was the perfect little religious girl who didn't even know what was happening beyond it was supposed to be for husband and wife only.)

2) It's cut and dry. There's no intrigue or community gatherings. No involvement. Just "here's what happened".

Others will say it involves PoC, and to that I say bollocks. We've seen plenty of stories of all ethnicities on this channel. This was horrific and I can't even imagine to begin how Zaria was feeling throughout the whole thing. Poor girl must've been so scared and confused, argh my heart goes out to her family. I remember when I was 13 and I didn’t want to go spend time with my “father”. I would actually burst into tears when it was his visitation time and begged my mom not to send me. She would always ask me to go anyway because it “made things easier” on her. I suppose it did, he was a real bastard. But that didn’t mean she shouldn’t have listened to me anyway. Talk about traumatizing a child. And in this case, it turned out to be a deadly decision. Plus at 15, I’m pretty sure she would have been fine by herself. The only person to blame in this case is her father. Had he abused Zaria in the past, her mom would be on high alert. People hide who they really are. We all know this. This case haunts me and physically is so sickening. I have daughters and the thought of anyone so evil crossing their paths is terrifying. To have it be her own 'dad', with no escape, for her last hours to be absolute terror is inconceivable. No doubt this pig had been messing with her and fantasizing for a long time on his sadistic perverted plans.
And while he is the only one to blame for this I do want to add- PLEASE parents and caregivers, teachers and friends: if a child is resisting seeing a parent or adult there is a reason. Often it takes so much courage for them to even hint that something is amiss .... Rather than UNDERestimating and shrugging it off , pay attention to signs and listen to kids, be approachable... Maybe we can help save a child from a monster they fear and are forced to 'love'. Courts dismiss moms concerns in favor for dads having access to their children. Just look up the cases of kids killed by dads during visits. It's the same story over and over: concerns are raised about visits with dad, court dismisses concerns, court orders visits with dad, kid is killed.

Not every crime channel takes the time to do that.
A lot has been said in praise of recognizing and respecting both the victim and their family. That is important. I believe that the best way to do this, is by telling their last story with accurate information, and not just a quick overview of the incident.
Their story ought to be told with clarity and honesty. I believe that that honors them best.
I would want that, should something like this happen to me. Not just a shallow approach, but a thorough understanding.

It’s not bizarre it’s manipulative. He may not have had the true feelings of love that most parents have but knew that he needed to pretend he was the same. Zaria clearly felt the difference and being stuck in an 18 wheeler with this man must have been confusing and terrifying. It sounds like he never did anything physical to her but he said awful things to her that could be thought of as somewhat understandable in certain circumstances. I bet that as time went by and she started growling into a woman his behaviour changed and 5he way he looked at her turned creepy and to cover it up he would become angry and lash out at her for reasons unknown to her. She may have felt like something was coming but just didn’t want to believe the worst about her dad. He didn’t have a record of harming children or SA and everything he said about his daughter was positive and that would have made it impossible to predict what he would end up doing. And there’s no way Zaria’s mother could have legally kept Zaria from him. And regardless of how he treated Zaria, she loved him and probably had a difficult time articulating her fears because she didn’t have any prior abuse by him and therefore probably did not want to make him feel bad or say things that would make people not like him. Who knows what this creep was thinking in the earlier stages of Zaria’s life but I wonder if he ever shared his future plans or feelings in groups that are dedicated to these heinous crimes on the deep dark web. Because I have no doubt that he could have easily hid his disgusting thoughts in public and even in his personal life but IF he was having inappropriate thoughts about his daughter for some time he may have risked looking into other ways to curb his sick desires. And I also think we may see more and more children not making it back home because the offenders are well aware of what society thinks of them and eliminating the victims gives them a better chance of going undetected and out of prison. Sorry I am rambling on and on, this is something that was done to me by my step dad and I was assaulted by two strangers in separate incidents all by the age of 12 and I feel very strongly that we need to reach these offenders prior to them offending but we them to feel safe asking for help. Argh it’s just all too much sometimes. My dad was abusive. But to everyone else who looked at us. He was a loving father. Who “spoilt” me too much. I remember begging adults as a kid. To keep me with them a day extra. And one day I told one of my dad’s gf at the time that I was terrified of him and didn’t want to go home. His gf at the time listened. Then when she thought I’d fallen asleep. She called my father and told him everything. Then laughed about how I was crying to her. It was one of the most humiliating experiences. Also my dad used to tell me that he’d kill me. It takes a ton of heart and a lot of courage for you guys to do what you do, and we applaud you for it. I am moved to tears every time I watch one of your videos. I regretfully admit that I don't watch them as much as I used to, because it's difficult to cope with some of (much of; ALL of, really) the information you present.
You always give so much respect to the victims and their families, and, unlike many other channels, you clearly take great care to ensure that you're providing the most accurate and up to date information you possibly can.
I know you provide this content at the risk of having your videos removed or being demonetized.
You are two amazing, intelligent and extremely empathetic human beings, and we appreciate you SO much more than you could know.

I know cps/dcfs or whatever your program may be… could fail many people but they did not fail me. They actually saved me. My aunt had me living in a basement with centipedes, other bugs, moldy walls, and a head full of lice. They left my sister though. My aunt even called me “shandarella” because I was the maid. I learned how to cook by age 5. Did my own hair for school. But when I was 9 they saved me and sent me to my dad. He relapsed after living with him for four years. Which was sad because he was so cool and loving. Just loves women and drugs. He live 20 minutes away. Haven’t seen him for 15 years. Then I ended up with my blind grandpa and it was the best time of my life. We took care of each other. My hero. Rest in peace papa.

That mother is a pos too....she cared more about having her "me time" and dancing at church than she did her own daughter. Her daughter cried out for help and told her she didn't feel safe at her dad's house and she could've brung her daughter to church with her but she wanted her "me time" smh

Nice coverage, it just sucks because this case was covered very well by anna Elise's channel.
I really enjoy the way you guys deliver the crimes with compassion but I do wish there wasnt so many repeat cases. I guess it's hard because the genre is so saturated, I think that's what makes explore with us so good because they seek out exclusive content that no other channels have covered. I sincerely hope you guys go more into exclusive or rare cases.

This absolutely breaks my heart. Every time I hear about or watch the most wicked ways that their parents hurt them and take their lives, I can't even relate or understand how a parent can enflick so much harm on their own children! To me, this is the worst of the worst. I pray for her mom and her family as this is simply the hugest of all lost and the saddest. I will never understand how a parent can hurt their own flesh and blood...ever.

1st, I hope anyone who called him a good dad feels sick to their stomach. Someone had to notice that something was off. I'm placing some blame with the mother. Her child is begging to stay home, to not go to his house. There's no way that was the 1st time either. She should've gotten to the bottom of this, asked questions, talked to her friends to see what's going on. I understand wanting to have time to herself, I'm a mom too. But dance class at church NEVER comes before the safety of your child. She could've come, or stayed home. She was old enough.

@@kristabradley9461well congratulations birth control actually works on because I know sure as hell it failed on me and like you I took pre measures because I didn't want nor was ready for a child but I end up pregnant anyways almost 12years ago. I love my son to death and will protect him along doing the best I can for him but with my past of drug abuse & felony record I choose to live at my parents home to make sure my son is provided with the best future as possible..

I am also not a liar I told my son I wasn't exactly ready for a child but when I held him in my arms it was game over and time to turn over a new leaf😇👩‍👦🙏🏻

I hate to sound sarcastic but it's true though blessed are the ones where their pre measures actually do what their supposed to do instead of failing on them...

I really appreciate your channel. You focus on being a voice for victims and explaining how horrific these acts are. It is maddening that so many people who cover murder and other awful things, just want the sensationalism regarding these cases and don’t take it seriously. They forget these are people with families that are grieving horrific things. thank you for being thoughtful, compassionate and matter of fact in regard to these unspeakable crimes.

My daughter was 4 when I broke up with my ex. She loved him but the woman he cheated on me with became her stepmother along with her 12 yr old son who started to touture our daughter. I took him to court to protect her. I trusted my child at 4, then raised her with my family w/o him. Zaria was 15 and trusted both her parents, and loved them.
Im sorry for the mother, she lost so much but I wish people would trust their family more than anything else. Children experience things we rationalize away but not really listen too.

@@kathydavis2764you can get an emergency order of protection from any lawyer. Especially if visitation isn't safe. Assuming the father would even want to take it to court. But in any case if push came to shove court order or no I'd be prepared to put my daughter in hiding and go to jail rather than hand her over to an abusive peace of trash. That's also assuming the kid comes clean about the abuse. If so cps getting involved is another route they could take or the police... You have options to protect your children from an ex partner if it's not safe. You should never fear legal repercussions when it comes to the wellbeing of your babies.

I can't even wrap my mind around how something so horrific could even happen... I know that she is resting in the arms of the lord, no more pain and no more hurting, and suffering ..
