In Hab El Hawa, Najwa Karam sings about the winds of love that blow from the east and west, the lost path of her lover, and her journey to find him. The lyrics express the singer's romantic and passionate spirit, as she walks and sings, her heart filled with emotion. She wonders why her lover became distant, and laments the days of separation and loneliness that she experienced. The words "mishit la'na, qalbi ghannâ" are repeated throughout the song, conveying the message of her unwavering love and her persisting hope to find her lover again.
The song is a masterpiece of Arabic music, known for its intricate melody and Najwa's powerful voice. The lyrics were written by the renowned Lebanese poet Nizar Francis, and the music was composed by the accomplished musician Salim Salameh. The song was released in 1992 and became an instant hit across the Arab world. Hab El Hawa is widely considered one of Najwa Karam's best works and a timeless classic of Arabic music.

Love blows from the east and west
You lost your path away from mine
I wandered towards you, my heart sang
I wandered towards you, my heart sang
And my heart stood still
Step by step, I walked towards you
From your heart, I intended for good
I caught up to you, why did you turn harsh?
Oh my home, the days of being away
A star, you picked it with your hand
The sun's light took it away from you
You get harsh and show me your indifference
Don't hide your love for me in your heart
And my heart stood still
Love blows from the east and west
You lost your path away from mine
I wandered towards you, my heart sang
I wandered towards you, my heart sang
And my heart stood still
