Ajram was born on May 16th, 1983 to Nabil Ajram and Rimonda Oun, as the eldest of two siblings, Nadine Nariman Ajram and Nabil Ajram Jr. She started singing at the age of eight, when she appeared for the first time in 1991 at a singing contest for kids on national television in Lebanon. In 1995, at the age of twelve, Nancy Ajram took part in the entertainment show, Noujoum Al-Moustakbal, ("Stars of the Future"), a Lebanese television musical competition, winning a gold medal in the Tarab category after singing a song by Umm Kulthum.
Ajram studied music following her early success with renowned Lebanese musicians and although she was less than 18 years old, the syndicate of professional artists in Lebanon accepted her as a member because they found her to be an exceptional talent and deserved to be qualified as a professional artist. Shortly afterwards Nancy released her first album, Mihtagalak ("I Need You') in 1998, with most of its songs holding a pure Tarab style, thus starting her music career at the age of 15. It was followed by Sheel Oyoonak Anni ("Take Your Eyes Off Of Me") in 2000, which achieved more success.

The lyrics in Nancy Ajram's song "Ehsas Jdeed" are emotive and heart-wrenching as they depict the emotions and thoughts of a lover who is unable to share their feelings with the person they love. The first verse expresses the deep emotional turmoil the lover is going through as they realize the strength of their feelings for their love interest. They are overpowered by a new and intense feeling, they cannot contain the emotions they feel inside, but they repeatedly restrain themselves. They are consumed by a love that they cannot express, resulting in a constant struggle between their heart and mind.
The chorus emphasizes the lover's pain of keeping their feelings secret from the person they love, unable to speak their truth. They want to tell their love interest how they feel but they cannot find the right words. Their heart is filled with longing, yearning, and passion. They feel that they have had enough of holding their emotions inside and just want to let it all out. They crave for the moment when they can finally express their love, but for the time being, they have to live with the inner torment of an unspoken love.
In the second verse, the intensity and madness of love are amplified further, as the lover is driven to the point of insanity, unable to control their desire to express their love. They are so obsessed with their feelings that everything else fades into the background. The lover is willing to do anything, even if it means losing everything, just to tell their love interest how they feel.
Overall, the lyrics of "Ehsas Jdeed" convey an intense feeling of passion, longing, and the internal struggle of keeping unspoken emotions to oneself.
