This earned them a spot in a 'mixed album' compilation tagged 'Agontuk-2' in 2003. Debuting with their first single 'Obocheton', Nemesis became an instant favorite among Dhaka's listeners which, in turn, led to a record deal with G-Series.
During the recording of the album, their drummer Yawar had to leave and was replaced by Dio who worked on the rest of the album and their guitarist Nondito left soon after to be replaced by Omayr in 2005. Nemesisâ debut album âOnneshonâ was finally released in 2005 under the label of G-Series, and it went on to become one of the major albums of that year. The album instantly stood out and generated a lot of attention with several of the songs proving to be major hits with the audience. With the release of 'Dhushor Bhabona' (2006) and 'Joyoddhoni' (2007), Nemesis earned mainstream recognition as both the singles went on to be included in the capitalâs most popular FM station Radio Foortiâs Top 100 Singles Charts.
The band recorded their second album âTritio Jatraâ, six years later being released in 2011 under the label of Dead Line Music (DLM) sponsored by Catâs Eye. The first single from the album âKobeâ was released in Radio stations earlier in the 2011. In late 2011, they released the music video of their hit song âKobeâ which was produced by Studio Bangi.
In 2012, Maher Khan and Omayr Khan left Nemesis and were later in the same year replaced by Zerif Ahmed and Zeheen Ahmed. In early 2013, Zeheen took a break from the band and was replaced by Zafir which is the present permanent line up of the band.
âTritio Jatraâ got nominated for The Best Band Award of 2011 (Popular Choice and Critic), The Best Sounding Album Award and Best Music Video Award (âKobeâ, Studio Bangi) for the Citycell Channel I Music Awards where Nemesis won The Criticâs Choice - Best Band Award.
There lineup took one final change as Zerif left the band and Rafsan joined the band. The band released their third and most recent album on 10th May ,2017 after 6 years. The album received positive review from all the fans. With this album they settled with their sound that is now they are more blues rock than alternative and all the band members were happy with the album. The ten songs on the album mark a departure from their older songs in the way that all the songs have a particular and serious meaning behind them. The album can be streamed in iTunes and Spotify.

Tyranny
Nemesis Lyrics

A lump appears in my throat, as I gaze across our once great land.
I see our people battered down and our enemies all around.
Picking at the bones of a dying race, betrayed by our leaders
Shake of the shackles of tyranny. Oh, oh, oh
Climb out of your deathbed and slay our foe.
Oh, oh, oh We can still rise now and claim our birthright.
My heart skips a beat, my eyes open wide.
A roar bursts from my throat, as I see the sparks that'll set the flame.
I see our people fighting back and our enemies being slain.
Dying at the sword of our mighty race
Shake of the shackles of tyranny. Oh, oh, oh
Climb out of your deathbed and slay our foe.
Oh, oh, oh We can still rise now and claim our birthright.
Oh, oh, oh For this land is ours and we mustn't let it go - no, no, no, no
My heart hangs heavy in my breast, tears well up in my eyes.
Oh, oh, oh For this land is ours and we mustn't let it go - no, no, no, no.
Shake of the shackles of tyranny. Oh, oh, oh
Climb out of your deathbed and slay our foe.
Oh, oh, oh We can still rise now and claim our birthright.

The lyrics to Nemesis's "Tyranny" tell the story of a people who have been, as the song says, "battered down" by their enemies, and betrayed by their leaders. The singer's heart is heavy as they see their once-great land reduced to ruins, but they find hope in the idea that they can still rise up and claim their birthright. The song encourages the listener to "shake off the shackles of tyranny" and fight back against those who have oppressed them.
The imagery in the song is powerful; the singer sees their people "picking at the bones of a dying race," and the enemies are described as being "slain" by the mighty race that the singer represents. The repeated refrain of "shake off the shackles of tyranny" emphasizes the importance of breaking free from oppression and taking control of one's own destiny.
Overall, "Tyranny" is a call to action, urging the listener to take a stand and fight for what they believe in. The lyrics are full of passion and emotion, and the song is sure to resonate with anyone who feels oppressed or marginalized.

Interesting you called her âher younger sisterâ and not âmy younger/youngest daughterâ
Just sayingâŠâŠ.Iâm not a psychologist but if i was, Iâd have some sensitively asked questions about that.
Is the younger sister your daughterâs half sister? Or full sister?
If itâs the former itâs nice to hear, you know that youâre still a big family despite a breakup and your ex having kids with someone else.
If itâs the latter then itâs interesting that you referred to her by her relation to your daughter and not her relation to youâŠâŠ.donât you think?
