She'll see what I could be
A cold routine or something
It just won't stop touching me
And I wait here another time
Like a thousand times before
I'm dropping out and faded
But I keep on wanting more
And she really really doesn't care
That I can't keep time or the rhythm straight
'Cause it's one thing she don't dare
And it's alright I drop the line
Now it's one thing to be free
Well I never really had a thing for that
But it's everything I need
And you don't ever understand
It's right here in our hands
The outline of our lives
It's over now
And she wakes up from a deeper sleep
A nightmare through and through
She won't stop trippin' on the daytime vibe
But that's one thing I won't do
Then it's over, im back again
And she's still on the attack
But I'm convinced I've found a reason
To keep her coming back
And you don't ever understand
It's right here in our hands
The outline of our lives
It's over now
You won't ever be happier
Until you find that special place where you belong
And you won't ever be happier
Until you find that only way
Until you find the only way back home
You don't ever understand
It's right here in our hands
The outline of our lives
It's over now
It's over now
It's over now
The song "It's Over Now" by Neve is a reflection of the complexities of a romantic relationship. The lyrics depict a toxic relationship where two individuals cannot seem to let go of each other. The singer is caught in a cycle of wanting to break free but also wanting more from the relationship. The lines "I'm dropping out and faded, but I keep on wanting more" and "But I'm convinced I've found a reason to keep her coming back" show the internal conflict of the singer.
The chorus of the song repeats the lines "You don't ever understand, it's right here in our hands, the outline of our lives, it's over now." This repetition emphasizes the feeling of a relationship coming to an end, but the inability to fully let go. The lines "It's over now" serve as a reminder to the singer that the relationship should end, but the attachment and need for the other person remains.
Overall, the song "It's Over Now" reflects on the difficulties of breaking free from a toxic relationship and the internal battle of wanting to let go but also cling on to what was once there.
