Give Me to the Night
Night Lyrics

You're stepping on a dream
And you think you're gonna make it for real
Ain't nobody gonna give you something
Nothing ever sells for free
No life will ever
Get so much better
Don't ask for bridges
Just scream and let it out
Give me to the night
Keep on
And take it while it's here
You will never be the one to pass
Never let the smoke get clear
Never gonna be the one who's last
Now don't say never
It's so much better
When granted wishes
Don't ask for bridges
Just scream and let it out
Give me to the night
These lyrics seem to be about the struggle to achieve something in life, whether it's a dream or a goal. It speaks about the notion of stepping on a dream, meaning that sometimes in order to achieve your dreams, you may have to take risks that are not always comfortable nor easy. The line "Ain't nobody gonna give you something, nothing ever sells for free" acknowledges that hard work is required to achieve anything worthwhile. You may have to work for what you want and never expect things to be given to you for free.
The chorus, "Give me to the night" could be interpreted as a plea to surrender to the darkness, a place where you can let go of your fears, ambitions, and anxieties. It may be the moment you have been waiting for, a time to enjoy and let loose. The lyrics say "Never let the smoke get clear, never gonna be the one who's last" refers to not giving up or backing down. You must stay in the game and keep pushing, even if you feel like you are losing, don't be the one to quit. The section "When granted wishes don't ask for bridges, just scream and let it out" seems to imply that when you receive an opportunity, don't over-analyze or hesitate, just scream and take it! Life is unpredictable, and so when you are offered something, you must seize the moment and enjoy it.
Overall, the song seems to be encouraging people to let go of their fears and inhibitions and to go after their dreams, taking risks and not being afraid of failure, but rather pushing through in the face of adversity. It acknowledges that things may not be easy, but it's important to keep going.
