Strauss started touring with her own band Lia-Fail as a teenager, leaving high school in her junior year to pursue music full time; the band included future world champion boxer Mikaela Mayer. Although initially known for her work with Iron Maiden all-female tribute band The Iron Maidens, Strauss' career has included performing with several rock ensembles including Consume the Fire, Femme Fatale, and the video-game supergroup Critical Hit.
In 2014, Strauss was the official in-house guitarist for the Los Angeles Kiss (LA KISS), the arena football team owned by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS. The house band played the national anthem and provided additional music during the games.
In June 2014, Strauss was hired to replace Orianthi as Alice Cooper's touring guitarist for the remaining 2014 tour dates. She has toured with Alice Cooper since that time.
In April 2018, Strauss launched a Kickstarter campaign for her debut solo record 'Controlled Chaos'.
In October 2021 she shared "'Dead Inside", her first new solo music since the release of her debut album.
Nita will release her sophomore solo album, ""'The Call Of The Void", on July 7, 2023.
Nita Strauss has recruited a vocalist named Kasey Karlsen to join her onstage during the guitarist's upcoming "Summer Storm" tour.

Don't you know I feel your pain?
It's not hopeless, I feel the same, yeah
We're relentless
Down and out, don't count us out
Fight the fear, we're here to stay
We're marching
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
Hey, hey, here we are
Hey, hey, here we are
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious (victorious)
We don't need a savior
Scream and shout, the time is now
This generation will save ourselves
A million invaders
Can't break us down, we'll take the crown
Not even these walls can keep us out
We're marching
Hear us coming
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
Hey, hey, here we are
Hey, hey, here we are
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
We've all fallen down
Been victims of doubt
It don't matter how
We'll make our own way out
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
One step closer, can you hear us now?
Victorious
Hey, hey, here we are
Hey, hey, here we are
One step closer, can you hear us now?
We are victorious
Victorious (victorious), victorious
We are victorious (yeah)
Victorious
The lyrics to "Victorious" by Nita Strauss and Dorothy convey a message of resilience, unity, and the determination to overcome obstacles.
The opening lines, "It's not hopeless, don't you know I feel your pain?" offer a sense of empathy and understanding. The song acknowledges the struggles and challenges faced by individuals, but emphasizes that there is still hope. The repetition of the phrase "It's not hopeless, I feel the same" highlights the solidarity among people who are facing difficult circumstances.
The lyrics also emphasize the relentless nature of their pursuit to overcome hardships. The line "Down and out, don't count us out" suggests that despite feeling defeated or at a disadvantage, they refuse to give up. The mention of fighting fear and staying strong signifies their determination to persevere.
The chorus "One step closer, can you hear us now? Victorious" represents a call to action and a declaration of their progress. It signifies their movement forward, inching closer to their goals with a sense of confidence and power. The repetition of the word "Victorious" adds emphasis and drives home the idea that they are on a path to triumph.
The lyrics also convey a sense of independence and self-reliance. The line "We don't need a savior" expresses their belief that they have the ability to save themselves. It highlights their refusal to rely on external forces to fix their problems. Instead, they choose to take control of their own destiny and shout out for their voices to be heard.
The song also speaks to the collective strength of the current generation. The line "This generation will save ourselves" portrays a sense of unity and determination. They reject being victims and instead embrace their ability to rise above any challenges that come their way.
The overall message of the song is one of empowerment and resilience. It encourages listeners to not give up, to fight for their dreams, and to understand that they have the strength within them to overcome any obstacles they may face. It serves as a rallying call for individuals to come together, rise above adversity, and embrace their victorious spirit.

@bozeeke
For those who don't know, Nita's former bass player from a punk rock band back in the day is now a top ranked female boxer. That was her boxing in the latter half of the video. I think this was sort of a tribute to her personal backstory.
