Analyze the way that my colors take fold
You pin my wings down so you can find out
How long it'll take 'til I fall to the open ground
I drag around all the weight of your words
Shutting me down so your voice can be heard
Make me your clone, make me your own
You think you're curing a disease
You got the answers, the vaccines
You're making me hate me, making me hate me
Pull at the strings to play your scene
But I cut the ties from underneath
You'll never save me, you'll never save me
'Cause I wanna know, and do you reap what you sow?
And do you dull whatever seems to have a pulse?
You try and fix me, to fix your machine
But what's alive can never live without a soul
I drag around all the weight of your words
Shutting me down so your voice can be heard
Make me your clone, make me your own
You think you're curing a disease
You got the answers, the vaccines
You're making me hate me, making me hate me
Pull at the strings to play your scene
But I cut the ties from underneath
You'll never save me, you'll never save me
Try to be the one that you want and it just wasn't enough
You took all my pride and turned it to dust
You take my fragile bones and you'll make them your own
You wanted everything 'til nothing's left of me
You think you're curing a disease
You got the answers, the vaccines
You're making me hate me, making me hate me
Pull at the strings to play your scene
But I cut the ties from underneath
You'll never save me, you'll never save me
'Cause I wanna know ('cause I wanna know)
Palisades's "Fragile Bones" describes a relationship where one person is trying to control and change the other in order to fit into their ideal version. The opening lines speak to the idea that the other person is analyzing and scrutinizing every detail of the singer's life. They are trying to figure out how to manipulate them and predicting when the singer will break. The singer feels weighed down by the other person's words and their constant attempts to silence them. The chorus repeats the theme of the other person believing they know what is best for the singer and causing them to feel hate towards themselves.
The second verse begins with the other person attempting to fix the singer as if they are a machine. The singer recognizes that they cannot live without their soul, something the other person is trying to alter. The bridge talks about the singer attempting to change themselves to please the other person, but it was never enough. The other person took everything from the singer and left them with nothing. The song ends with the singer knowing they will never be saved by the other person, but they need to know if the other person will reap what they sow.

Though I loved the vibe from Mind Games, their new sound is fucking awesome. It’s darker, heavier but still melodic and enjoyable. Keep it up guys🤘
@XxKo3dxX

I literally have no song that I hate from Palisades. None at all. They're continuing to amaze me. 💜
@ti253799
Totally agree with that!
@whiskeybravo91
It's been really cool hearing them evolve as a band from album to album, I really can't wait for this to come out. I'm so glad they come to Dallas so often, I've seen them probably 5-6 times and they just get better every time
