She can't wrap her mind around the fact that if someone said something to you, or you saw a video, or you read an article you have to call that person as a witness, or admit the video or article into evidence and you can't just assert "this person told me X" or "I saw Y on a video". Her lawyers on the other hand can't seem to wrap their mind around the fact that you can't just start every question with "What, if any" like it's a magical incarnation to transform it from a leading question into a non-leading question.

@Anthony Puccetti From my understanding, she cannot testify to what Johnny said in the same way she cannot testify to what others say to prove a fact, with exceptions. She can testify to what she observed and how he behaved. If these many objections were sustained without basis, the defense would have a lot to use for an appeal and I don’t believe that’s the case here.

Well, amber’s lawyers had way more objections, sometimes that guy Rottonborn even objected as direct distractions b4 Johnny started talking 🙄… that’s last week what happened when Johnny was on the stand to testify… So Camilla did awesome on objections and just not gave much chance for the liar/ abuser to make up more lies to mislead the jury or audience… Justice for Johnny! 💥☄️💪❤️👏

Body language is not an exact science like Psychology is, and therefore not everyone will fit into the mold of what someone 'should' look like or react like. Not defending Amber Heard, but her lawyer made a fairly common mistake. He asked an ambiguous question. Witness could have either been told (hearsay) or seen firsthand that which was given in the account. Made him look worse because her defense team is falling apart at the seams already

Depp's attorney, though not the most senior, is his best attorney here, she's sharp and calm and assertive without bullying: she's just going about her business of keeping things fair and just for her client.
But what this clip compilation does not show is how easily Amber Heard negotiated these interruptions. It's actually impressive poise, though it suggests to me further evidence of faking her stress. You donlt see it on this compilation, but sometimes AH is paused mid-sentence by an objection which is then overruled, and AH picks up the sentence right where she paused it, with the word right after the stopped word - - without recapping the sentence at all. As if she herself were a tape-recording or a c-d player that is paused for 3 or 4 seconds and then press PLAY again and the recording resumes where it stopped. It's as automated a response as that. There's also 2 instances where an objection is raised mid-sentence and AH simply talks right through the objection and the judge's 'overruled' that officially allows AH to resume - - AH continues anyway, right through the objection. A very wilful, confident woman, I would say. But the most telling detail is how she can put her testimony on PAUSE mid-sentence and then after 4 seconds press PLAY again and pick up the next word in the interrupted sentence so automatically without having to recap. She's better than my c-d player.

This is what happens when the defendant has only hearsay “evidence.” It’s not real evidence. If she had been allowed to talk as much as she wanted to, the jury and everyone in that courtroom would be so fried trying to keep up, she might be able to sow doubt. The lawyer objected strategically.

@Dani Wright in deformation the plaintive (depp) doesn't have burden of proof when come to the case. So heard team is one that has provide to show what was said was true. The case is deformation per say so they don't need to prove that his suffered losses either. They also arguing that that it reasonable to assume article was about him without naming his(don't know the exact legal term for that). The case is stacked against her so looking to see if they can show evidence of physical assault (other than the picture with dark areas on her face) or if they switch to more "it was DV but verbal and emotional" either way it already proven he suffered losses and that article was about him so all heard team has left is trying to prove he was a DV perpetrator

I think these objections are excellent to show Amber's fake emotions. When a real victim gets emotional and being interrupted, it's extremely off-throwing. Amber acts like she's pouring her guts out yet she can easily jump back to the emotional display which is rather unnatural.

Most of them were sustained, so I think the objections were done because Amber continuously tried to bring in hearsay. Some of this was the attorney but some of it was Amber doing her best to slide in a statement someone else made to her even though she HAD to understand after hours of testimony that she could not. She also tried to use hearsay to discredit Jonny's witnesses which was also stopped by an objection.

I've never been to a court and i live in Europe, so if anyone is more knowledgeable on this topic than me, is this how courts all over the world behave, or is this just an american thing?

Like, how are you supposed to give a testimony if the lawyers never let you speak or even finish your sentence?

There was a major difference in when Johnny's lawyers object, and when Amber's lawyers object. Johnny's lawyer wait until a viable objection and explain why. Amber's lawyer just objects for the sake of wasting the courts time, objecting hearsay to the point Johnny was able to predict when he was going to object. And the fact that the judge got irritated with Amber's legal team for not keeping track of their "evidence". Johnny's legal team are going to get some well-deserved recognition after the trail has finished, they already do and the trial isn't finished yet.
