1.) Papermoon is a Viennese duo, who had a successful career with quiet music (guitar and vocal), during the 1990s, predominantly in Austria.
The project was founded in 1991 by Christof Straub (guitar) and Edina Thalhammer (vocals). After their song "Night After Night" received frequent airplay on the Austrian radio station Ö3 in 1992, they signed a recording contract. The first album went double platinum with total sales over 100000. Both of the followup albums went gold. The most familiar titles are "Tell Me A Poem" and "Lucy's Eyes." Edina Thalhammer left the group in 1996, for a period of almost seven years, and was replaced by Roumina Straub, and for a short time, by Barbara Pichler. During this time, a maxi-single and a "Best Of" album (with three new titles) were released. Edina Thalhammer attempted a solo career with the project "Tau" in 2002. The original members of Papermoon are back together as of 2004.
After an unsuccessful nomination in 2005 for the album "Come Closer," Papermoon was awarded the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the "Pop/Rock Group" category in 2006 for the album "True Love."
2.) The second "Papermoon" is a rock band from Boston fronted by guitarist David Messier.

As i lie in bed turn my head
And try to get away from the summer
Feeling like a thief on the run
All these people all around me
Only think about their money,
Only think about a way to get in
Someone else's bed and have fun there
Don't you wake me up tonight
Don't you wake me up tomorrow
Is it wrong or is it right?
I wanna sleep away my sorrow
Dreaming of the autumn rain
Walking through the woods,
If i could i would be sleeping until then
People, happy as can be,
All around me and they found me
And they try to get me dancing on the
Streets and they're romancing,
Yes i have to get away or i kill them!
Don't you wake me up tonight
Don't you wake me up tomorrow
You got arms to hold me tight
You got lips to ease my sorrow
Don't you know it feels alright
Lying here with you together
And if i could you know i might
Stay in bed and sleep forever
Do you think it's a crime
To stay in bed all the time?
I know what they say about me
But i don't care, i don't care, i don't care!
Don't you wake me up tonight...
The song "Sleep" by Papermoon tells a story that is relatable to many people who are going through anxiety, depression, or any other mental health condition that makes them feel like they need to escape from their reality. The lyrics depict a person who is exhausted and looking for ways to escape from the constant pressure of society. The first verse talks about the singer trying to forget the summer by imagining the cold winter sun. They feel like a thief running away from their responsibilities, and they think that people around them only care about money and having fun.
In the second verse, the singer dreams of the autumn rain and wishes to sleep until then. They are surrounded by happy people who try to convince them to join them in dancing on the streets, but the singer is overwhelmed and feels like they need to escape to avoid harming them.
The chorus suggests that the singer's partner is their only comfort in their time of need. They ask them not to wake them up and let them sleep away their sorrow. They acknowledge that staying in bed might not be socially acceptable and ask if it's a crime to do so. In the end, they don't care what others say about them and only focus on their own well-being.
Overall, "Sleep" is a song that expresses the need to take a break from life and find solace in a quiet place. It highlights the importance of mental health and self-care.
