The style could be described as a mix of Power Metal and Heavy Metal, although some songs are representative of styles such as orchestral ("Orb Of Winter") and electronic/industrial ("The Hex Core").

And the music fits well with the title of the track, this one is really great, it's a pure gem :)

This track is very different from the rest of the album, some might say that it doesn't have its place here, yet if we are not narrow-minded, we can understand that such a track can have its place too on the album.

I found it very beautiful, appealing and touching, with a magical touch that reminded me of many different things such as Danny Elfman, Harry Potter, certain musics from World of Warcraft and other fantasy types of music and composers, several other musics...

Smite and Ignite is really an epic album, I liked all the tracks on it, even if of course, I have my favourites and don't love each of them with the same force...

All these comments saying that there are female/choir vocals and that doesn't fit any members of Pentakill, please realize: Karthus is the Deathsinger, and thus the foremost vocalist, and his band plays instruments, occasionally giving backup vocals (except Sona, obviously).  But as the Deathsinger he makes a choir from the souls of his countless slain, as is evidenced when he brings them out with his E, Defile, at which point he says stuff like "Countless voices in unison," "Sing, my children," and "Behold my chorus!"  So obviously the vocals in this song are those very souls (perhaps many of those same souls which howl from the Howling Abyss, thus summoned to sing for "Orb of Winter."  But that's speculatory).

Besides, bands hire choirs all the time to do this kind of vocal work where the vocals serve as part of the instrumenal line-up rather than taking a leading role in the musical piece. It's perfectly possible for Pentakill to bring in a choir even without Karthus' magic

Bonestheninja Even then if it were to be Sona and not Karthus, she has an enchanted instrument. Who's to say she can't channel the strings to play a hymn of voices. Just because she's mute does not mean she's silent. Your point is also very valid. all is left to theory until riot makes it kanon
