Phreek hit it big with "Weekend" which has been covered by Class Action and Todd Terry and continues to be a popular club hit. Although Adams released many commercial studio acts in the late 70s, Phreek is certainly one of his best works. The album is solid all the way through.

This was Madness on the dancefloor π€£π€£ Two Dj's that played this tune and made sure you never heard it the same way, unless you heard it by them (fact) were Nicky Siano and
Larry Levan....many djs can confirm thatππ Masterful

I was a PG member from beginning to the end... Loved it ..travelled from Philly to NYC... would arrive @ midnite via train... walked down 7th ave and meet the dealers.. then up the dark ramp... bass pumping and vibrating off walls ....there till @ least 11:30am Sunday morn.... What an experience

THIS WAS AND STILL IS THE JAM!!! This version will forever be my favorite. You can hear the light strings of the orchestra, and the pure vocals of Christine - where she is not screaming to get her point across. When you can sing a song that has lyrical content that would not embarrass your parents or children if they were listening, you know gone are the days of making great music like this. Less is more, every time. Children of today will never know just how great our music was...sad but true

There are so many songs Larry Levan influenced me to play as a DJ, However this song stands alone among so many memories. I was there when the crowd gave Larry a standing ovation when this song was played and worked to the end. Paradise Garage and Larry will live forever in our memories.
