Faccini began his music career in London in the band 'Charley Marlowe', which he fronted alongside the poet Francesca Beard. In 2001, the band ended and Piers started solo work. He writes music for television - notably the BBC docudrama 'Killing Hitler' - as well as painting. His first solo album and EP 'Leave No Trace' came out in 2004.
He has guested on a series of other albums some of which are released on the 'Label-Bleu' label.
His style is rhythmic and melodic. His album is mostly based around acoustic guitar riffs, whereas his earlier music and TV themes reflect his interest in dance music.
He is currently based in France.

What Kind of Heart
Piers Faccini Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Would a blind man choose
Would a blind man choose
What's better to wear
In the dark for love
In the dark for love
Tied behind your back
Tied behind your back
Where its fingers clack
Where its fingers clack
What kind of heart
Would a blind man choose
Would a blind man choose?
The song "What Kind of Heart" by Piers Faccini poses a series of intriguing questions about what kind of heart one should have, especially in a context where one is lacking in sight or unable to see clearly. The repeated refrain of "What kind of heart would a blind man choose" suggests that the blind man may have a unique perspective on what really matters in matters of the heart. By asking what's better to wear in the dark for love, Faccini seems to be giving voice to the idea that love can be a mysterious and even potentially treacherous journey, one that requires a certain level of fortitude and protection.
