Armageddon
Planet P Lyrics

Cutting into my skin
And the air's like an icicle
As the night starts to fall
And there's no one around
(No one around)
My ears strain for a sound
As I search through these canyons
So cold and so tall
Armageddon, oh no
(Oh no)
Armageddon
It came too soon
In this city so proud
Full of noises and crowds
This once was a monument
Now, it's a grave
And they warned us about
(They warned us about)
When reason gave out
(Reason gave out)
Now, it's too late for miracles
There's nothing to save
Armageddon
(Armageddon)
Armageddon
(Armageddon)
It came too soon
Armageddon
(Armageddon)
Oh no
Armageddon
(Armageddon)
It came too soon
Armageddon
(Armageddon, Armageddon)
Armageddon
(Armageddon, Armageddon)
It came too soon
Armageddon
(Armageddon, Armageddon)
Oh no
Armageddon
(Armageddon, Armageddon)
It came too soon
Armageddon, Armageddon
Armageddon, Armageddon
The opening lines of Planet P's song, "Armageddon," set a chilling scene. The singer is alone in a cold, desolate landscape, where the wind is cutting into their skin and the air feels like an icicle. As darkness falls, the singer searches through canyons that are so cold and tall they seem almost alive. The sense of isolation and hopelessness is palpable as the singer strains their ears for any sound, and the mood only grows more ominous as we hear the refrain, "Armageddon, oh no/ Armageddon/ It came too soon."
The song then shifts its focus to a bustling city that is now nothing more than a grave. Once a proud and vibrant monument, this place has fallen to ruin. The singer speaks of warnings that were given, but reason gave out and it is now too late for miracles. The repetition of "Armageddon" underscores the sheer magnitude of the devastation, and the sense of sadness and loss is overwhelming. There is a desperate sense of pleading as the singer repeats that Armageddon "came too soon," as if hoping that by saying it enough times, they can somehow undo what has been done.
Overall, "Armageddon" is a powerful meditation on the fragility of human existence and the devastation that can occur when we fail to heed warnings and take care of our planet.

Thanks for posting this!!! I first listened to Planet P when I was 12 years old. Why Me was the first song I heard from them, and I still listen to them. My friends mess with me because of the music I like, but I don't care, I like what I like. I thank my dad for that, he had the best music collection ever!
