The new album by the Australian duo Pnau, due out in summer 2011 and tentatively titled Soft Universe, is the finest example yet of their epic techno pop. The faster, more uptempo tracks - using their best-known songs to date, Embrace and With You Forever (the latter featuring Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Empire Of The Sun), as the template ' are their most accessible and uplifting ventures yet into the territory of supercharged anthemica.
For Nick, Elton's involvement has been a lifeline. 'He's been incredible at mentoring me through a period of depression,' he reveals. And Pnau have been able to return the favour, working on an album based on the songwriting legend's massive back catalogue, on a project that will amount to a thorough re-examination of his work. It is bound to cause tremendous interest in 2011.

There was no way to know that we would give in now
Too early to stay worried 'bout us all
Before we knew what we were both about
And now we're stuck in holdin', everything is frozen
We're fakin' safe and sound (yeah, yeah, yeah)
And I can't keep pickin' up each time you call
You're all that I want
You're all that I need
And if it hurts me then
I don't want it
You're all that I want
You're all that I need
And if it hurts me then
I don't want it
I'm learnin', baby, if we keep on burnin'
No, I can't leave you, the world will keep on turnin'
But I'm thinkin' lately, what's so concernin'?
Soon as I leave you, I just keep on hurtin'
And once we're off the tracks
It falls apart too fast
And we've been scared too long, never really lasts
And once I get to thinkin', it all keeps comin' back, yeah, yeah
You're all that I want
You're all that I need
And if it hurts me then
I don't want it
You're all that I want
You're all that I need
And if it hurts me then
I don't want it
Oh, God, baby, let's not lie
You know you don't die for me (why not?)
Run out in the dead of night
Baby, don't you lie to me (my God)
Oh, God, baby let's not lie
You know don't die for me (be honest)
Just shut up, be honest, 'cause
You're all that I want
You're all that I need
And if it hurts me then
I don't want it (I don't want it anymore)
You're all that I want (you're all that I want)
You're all that I need (you're all that I need)
And if it hurts me then (yeah, yeah)
I don't want it
Before we run out of time, we gotta get it tonight
Before we leave it behind, we gotta get it alright
Wait 'til after party, then we say our goodbyes
Got my hands on your body and it's feelin' alright
But I don't want it
The lyrics to "You Know What I Need" by PNAU and Troye Sivan depict a complicated and unstable relationship. The song focuses on the uncertainty and mixed emotions experienced by the two individuals involved. In the beginning, they were only concerned about enjoying the moment and didn't realize they would become so invested in each other. However, as time goes on, they find themselves feeling trapped and unable to break free from the hold they have on each other. They have reached a point where they are pretending to be safe and content, but deep down, they know that their connection is destructive. The singer struggles with the idea of letting go because they still want and need this person, even though it brings them pain. They are aware that leaving would result in heartache, which is why they ponder the troubling question of why they keep hurting themselves by staying.
Overall, the lyrics of "You Know What I Need" explore the conflicting feelings that arise from being in a toxic relationship. The song portrays the complexity of human emotions and the difficulty of breaking away from someone despite the negative consequences.

So I’m a 60 year old guy who works out almost every day and I just loop this before the treadmill and then lift to this whether chest, leg, or back day. The vibe of this song PNAU creates and Troye’s voice make it that playable all the way through….and the endorphins kick is insane😅

Everyone on the internet is either a 60 years old guy who works out almost every day or he is a father who picked up X game on steam and ended up getting really close to his son and had an amazing time and what not. Seen the same comments too many times to believe this for a second
