They have been into this sound from the early days, listening to pirate stations like the weekend rush, Pulse FM, Unity, Energy & BossFM (South London), also following dj's like Fabio, Grooverider & Bukem who were pushing the sound. Around the sametime, Sean got some decks and started buying records.
As the music progressed, they both felt frustrated with the length of time it took releases to come out and the direction of some tunes, So it was then, they decided to start their our own project, and Probe-One was born. Sean was already messing around with samples and trackers and had an idea of how it all worked, so they got together and built up a studio, learned the in's & out's and developed their sound.
"We hadn't sent anyone our material, it was more for ourselves, until ASC contacted us after checking our progress for sometime through our website. It was from here where we got involved with Cov.Ops and the Drum & Bass scene". They sent a CD of current work to Cov.Ops and got great feed back ASAP, and eventually a contract was issued for a debut three-track release which will surface mid-to-late 2002.
"Since we have joined Cov.Ops things have just got better and better!" says Sean. The pair have since done remixes for ASC & Equinox, and find themselves with releases on Covert Operations, Warm Communications Digital and Testflight Recordings. Look out for new Probe-One projects in the near future.

Energetic flame just to know desire
Double trouble to distinct and deny
To underneath disagree
To release my feelings
Firethrower just to get you by
Get up
Don't quit
You will survive
You saw a virgin and an angel
While you were up with us
Don't talk to mistify
Turning up to a path
That led to the mountainside
He saw the heavy mist
Hung over the lake
He peered into the shadows
And the moon lifting up the waters
She was willing to marry him
""But there must therefore be one condition
On which I marry you""
Ok, Ok
You have struck me for the third
And last time
You're so cold
You could sleep outside
[break]
""You shoot me in a dream
You better wake up and apologize""
How do we come to this? (yeah, yeh)
What a big disgrace (What a big disgrace)
Remember when you were mine? (Mine)
But nevermind
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
How do we come to this? (yeah, yeh)
What a big disgrace (What a big disgrace)
Remember when you were mine? (Mine)
But nevermind
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
Fine, fine, fine
Fine, fine
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
I guess I'll be fine (be fine)
There's a party outside
There's a party outside
There's a party outside
There's a party outside
There's a party outside
But you're not having fun (fun
There's a party outside
And you still doping nuns
Whats the deal?
You and me (ok, ok)
Whats the deal?
You and me
Whats the deal?
Whats the deal?
Whats the deal?
There's a party outside
But you're not having fun
There's a party outside
And you still got the nuns
Whats the deal?
You and me (ok, ok)
Whats the deal?
You and me
Whats the deal?
Whats the deal?
You and me
I guess I'll be fine
The lyrics of Probe-One's song "Polaris" depict a range of emotions and themes. The opening lines suggest that advertising is used as a generic means of liberation, as the energetic flame of desire is sought after. However, there is a sense of conflict and denial present as well. The singer is torn between two opposing forces, trying to navigate their turbulent emotions and release their feelings.
The lyrics then shift to a scene where the singer witnesses a heavenly sight of a virgin and an angel while being in a state of elevation. This encounter seems to mystify them, leading to a desire to understand the true nature of this experience. As they traverse towards a mountain and a mist-covered lake, they discover a mystical connection between the moon, shadows, and the waters. The moon seems to have a condition for the singer's marriage proposal, yet it is left unclear what this condition may be.
The song takes another turn with a break, where the singer is undermined or betrayed. They express their hurt and frustration, demanding an apology for the inflicted pain. The lyrics then question how they reached this point of disgrace and reflect on the past when the relationship was different. Despite the disappointment, the singer tries to convince themselves that they will be fine and move on.
The song ends with the repetition of the phrase "I guess I'll be fine," implying a sense of resignation and acceptance towards the situation. The final lines shift to a party scene, where there is an observation that the singer is not enjoying themselves and still burdened by lingering thoughts. The lyrics conclude with a repetitive questioning of the relationship's status and the unresolved feelings surrounding it.
