The misfit song
ProleteR Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Allez circulez, rien à voir, allez hop!

Overall Meaning

The song "The Misfit Song" by ProleteR reflects on the singer's childhood memories of struggling to make ends meet at the end of every month. The singer reminisces about how difficult it was for their family, especially during the last thirty days of the month when there was barely enough money to survive. The main reason behind their struggles is that the singer's father worked only part-time and spent the rest of his time doing whatever he wanted. The father rode his bike to work, rode his bike when he returned, and even dropped his pants freely. Despite having plenty of jobs for workers at that time, they were still underpaid.

The song's lyrics also critique how the world has changed. Although the workers now receive higher wages, jobs are scarce, and people have to make do with what they have. Society has become ruthless and capitalist, and people are urged to move along and not get in the way. The song gives a sense of nostalgia for simpler times when people worked hard to make ends meet, but their efforts were still appreciated. The lyrics also provide a sense of pity for those who are struggling and a warning that the days of job security and respect for workers are long gone.

@JAYBSMOOV23

The song is a perfect example and representation of Proleter's style. Jazzy, old school, etc. He turned an old choir, and made it his own by implementing is own style. This takes skill dude. Fucking amazing.

@chemiocremblac5527

I don't think it was a choir, I'm pretty sure that's dmitri hvorostovsky.

how do you say it? dmitri hvorostovsky? mitri horostovski?

@DumbSnowman

Whenever I try to make electroswing or downtempo it just turns into trance... or a complete mess...
