Walked into the room, you know you made my eyes burn
It was like James Dean, for sure
You're so fresh to death and sick as ca-cancer
You were sorta punk rock, I grew up on hip hop
But you fit me better than my favorite sweater, and I know
That love is mean (oh oh) and love hurts (oh oh)
But I still remember that day we met in December, oh baby
I will love you 'til the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember (oh baby) say you'll remember, oh baby ooh
I will love you 'til the end of time
Big dreams, gangsta
Said you had to leave to start your life over
I was like "no please, stay here"
We don't need no money, we can make it all work
But he headed out on Sunday, said he'd come home Monday
I stayed up waitin', anticipatin' and pacin' but he was
Chasing (oh oh) paper (oh oh)
Caught up in the game, that was the last I heard
I will love you 'til the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember (oh baby) say you'll remember, oh baby ooh
I will love you 'til the end of time
You went out every night
And baby that's alright
I told you that no matter what you did, I'd be by your side
'Cause I'ma ride or die
Whether you fail or fly
Well, shit, at least you tried
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
We were dancing all night
I will love you 'til the end of time
I would wait a million years
Promise you'll remember that you're mine
Baby can you see through the tears?
Love you more
Than those bitches before
Say you'll remember (oh baby) say you'll remember, oh baby ooh
I will love you 'til the end of time
The lyrics of RAC's song "Blue Jeans" depict a passionate and tumultuous love story. The singer is captivated by the person they are describing, who walks into the room wearing blue jeans and a white shirt, instantly catching their attention. The mention of James Dean suggests that this person exudes a cool and rebellious aura. Although they have different backgrounds, with the singer growing up on hip hop and the other person associated with punk rock, they feel a strong connection that surpasses these differences. This connection is likened to the comfort of a favorite sweater.
The lyrics reveal the bittersweet nature of love, acknowledging that it can be mean and hurtful. Despite this, the singer fondly remembers the day they met in December, implying that they still hold onto the joy and happiness that love brought them.
The second verse introduces a conflicting situation in their relationship. The person the singer loves has big dreams and feels compelled to leave in order to start a new life. The singer, however, pleads for them to stay, believing that they can make things work without money. However, the person leaves and gets caught up in the pursuit of success, leaving the singer waiting and hoping for their return.
The chorus reinforces the singer's unwavering love and commitment. They declare that they will love this person until the end of time, even if it means waiting for a million years. They ask the person to remember that they belong to each other, despite any hardships they may face. The mention of "those bitches before" suggests that the singer has faced competition and challenges in previous relationships but claims to love this person more.
Overall, the lyrics of "Blue Jeans" depict a love that is intense, passionate, and filled with obstacles. It showcases the singer's devotion and determination to stay by their partner's side, even in the face of adversity.

RAC remix is the best. I like how it is the only remix that contrasts the original's slow tempo. This is upbeat. Other remixes try to match the ethereal feeling but Lana got that covered!
@dougdonelson9471
Well said.
@187Dethklok
It actually is still at the original 118 bpm.. syncopated synthesizers and snapping snares give the track a bright lively feel . Very clever stuff . Like you said , take the track somewhere else without loosing any sense musically.
