After a while he felt that only spinning tracks from other producers just didn’t satisfy him anymore. He had a lot of ideas and creativity that he was dying to let out, so he started producing somewhere in 2003.
When he accidentally switched record bags with some guys at a gig, who happened to be the owners of a small Dutch hardstyle label called Special Records, this resulted in his first release in 2006.
Having had a taste of releasing my tracks on vinyl, he spends even more time on developing his skills and sound as a producer. After a release on the Italian label Droppin' Beats, he got into contact with Arjen and Anco Timmermans, better known as the Alphatwins. The Ran-D sound and A2-records were a perfect match.

And pass it on, it's almost out
We're so creative, so much more
We're high above but on the floor
It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side
I'm not an addict, maybe that's a lie
I'm not an addict, maybe that's a lie
The deeper you stick it in your vein
The deeper the thoughts, there's no more pain
I'm in heaven, I'm a god
I'm everywhere, I feel so hot
It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive
If you don't have it you're on the other side
I'm not an addict, maybe that's a lie
I'm not an addict
I'm not an addict
I'm not an addict
Maybe that's a lie
I'm not an addict
I'm not an addict
Maybe that's a lie
It's over now, I'm cold, alone
I'm just a person on my own
The song "Not an Addict" by Ran-D & Psyko Punkz featuring K's Choice is a powerful commentary on addiction and the highs and lows of the cycle of addiction. The opening lines of the song, "Breathe it in and breathe it out, and pass it on, it's almost out," speak to the way that addiction can be passed from person to person, like a drug being shared among friends, until it is almost completely depleted. The second line, "We're so creative, so much more," suggests that those who are addicted to drugs may believe that their addiction makes them more creative or interesting than others.
The singer declares, "I'm not an addict, maybe that's a lie," suggesting that she is struggling with addiction and knows that it is not healthy, but cannot bring herself to admit to it fully. The deeper she sinks into her addiction, the more she feels like a god and the less pain she feels, but she is aware that her addiction is taking her to dark places.
Ultimately, the song ends on a tragic note, with the singer admitting that she is now cold and alone, no longer feeling the euphoria of her addiction. The song beautifully captures the complexities of addiction and the way that it can both thrill and destroy those who struggle with it.
