In Me
Rebecca St. James Lyrics

And made the heavens
You breathed the stars
And put their place in the sky
You waved Your hand
Painted a sunset
You smiled and gave a heartbeat life
That Your holy hands
Made everything I see
It's so hard to believe
That You the God of creation say
I've got this power in me
In me
There is strength to move a mountain
In me
There is faith to walk on water
In me
If I just believe
The Way and the Truth and the Life is
In me
So please remind me
When I feel useless
That my flesh and bone
Has more than meets the eye
Because you burn
Like a fire was in me
And there's nothing out of reach when I
Let your Spirit loose and be alive
In me
There is strength to move a mountain
In me
There is faith to walk on water
In me
If I just believe
The Way and the Truth and the Life is
In me
(You said the words
And made the heavens
You breathed the stars
And put their place in the sky
You waved Your hand
Painted a sunset
You smiled and gave a heartbeat life)
You set the world in motion
Put the waves in the ocean
And when it all comes down
I've got to believe
That You the God of creation say
I've got this power
In me
There is strength to move a mountain
In me
There is faith to walk on water
In me
There is strength to move a mountain
In me
There is faith to walk on water
In me
If I just believe
The Way and the Truth and the Life is
Oh, The Way and the Truth and the Life is
In me
The song "In Me" by Rebecca St. James speaks about the power of God within us. The lyrics depict the grandness of God's creation and the power of His hands. From the heavens to the sunset, everything was made by God's word and breath. The song believes that if the God of creation lives in us, then we have strength to move mountains, faith to walk on water, and nothing is out of reach. The song is a reminder that when we feel useless or unable, we merely need to let God's Spirit work through us. We have power, which transcends the flesh and bone of our physicality.
The song expresses the idea that God's power within us is like a fire. It burns inside us, and no matter what obstacles may come our way, we need only to let His Spirit loose and be alive within us. When we doubt ourselves or feel insignificant, we can turn to God's power in us. We can look beyond our human limitations and recognize that the Way, the Truth, and the Life are all within us.
Overall, "In Me" is an empowering song that reminds us of the greatness of God, the power He has bestowed upon us, and the strength we can find within ourselves when we believe in Him.
