Red Deer is a rare breed. Bred in the woods, native to anywhere but captivity, wide-eyed and curious. This adorable band warms countless hearts everywhere.
Red Deer crossbreed their many traits into their music. Nostalgic, yet nonchalant vocals; subtle, yet commanding guitar arrangements; solid and thoughtful bass lines; steady, straightforward drum beats. Josh’s catchy and driving riffs and chord progressions are met with Ray’s longing vocals, while Heath’s subtle and understated guitar harmonies give the songs a whole other level of sincerity and warmth. Combine this with the coolest likes of Mel on bass and Andrew on drums and you get Red Deer

The data in some of these studies lacks serious context. I've read some of them in their entirety, and even exchanged emails with the researchers.
For example, one of the more famous ones referenced used data from October (pre-rut) because they said the rut makes the data too chaotic.
A deers fur changes dramatically from early October to late November.
I can 100% guarantee you that temperature influences NOVEMBER deer movement. 15 years of cell cam data supports this notion strongly.
Cold weather drives them to eat more (ruminant use digestion to keep warm) and also makes it a lot more comfortable for a deer to move around.
I made the researcher a bet. Come to my farm and hunt on warm days. I'll hunt the same number of cold days. We will see who sees more deer.
He did not accept.
@JayN4GO
99% proven that deer move whenever the hell they want. Science
@Quinncyoutdoors
Thank you for the video. I was right there with you until the cold front comment. Correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like you’re saying that temperature drops don’t affect deer movement? If so, I strongly disagree with that. I see deer daily. Most of the time it’s the same deer and when it’s cooler by 5-10° than the previous days, the deer most definitely move later in the mornings and earlier in the evenings. Especially if the cooler weather brings an over cast sky. Once the temperatures heat up after a day or two, the deer movement definitely dwindles back down to early morning and late evening and barely any mid day movement at all.

I totally agree! Great data, great video! Thank you.

It's got to be hard bringing good information like this to the masses. Keep up the good work.
@Whitetail_Properties
Much appreciated! We'll keep it up!!

I've always had bad luck with full moon phases here in west Central MN
@aaronmeuser8931
Thank you, a lot of people will watch this and still swear by the moon phases changing deer movement. Either pappy told them that, or they just so happened to kill a deer during one of those “good phases”.
@joasmullett2213
I’m not a moon hunter either, but if you are using this video to prove that then you will have to agree with weather not moving deer either. I think this “deer science” leaves out a lot of practical factors that make enough of a difference for a hunter trying to get that extra edge. The fact that he is using science to say that a cold front does not improve deer movement is proof to me that deer science is trash when it comes to practical hunting application. I’ve hunted enough to see what my eyes show me!
@aaronmeuser8931
@@joasmullett2213 agreed it’s nots a perfected science.
@kevinstrahota1223
Hours of daylight are important, deer get busier finding food as winter gets closer.
I hope the dnr keeps the bait ban on in my county. That alone has resulted many more daylight encounters while on stand.
