The band’s lyrical approach is mainly poetic, with lyrics dealing with introspection, the search for knowledge and emotional release as well as the person's primitive need for magic, ascension and ritual. In late 2003, Reino Ermitaño self-released their first full-length Reino Ermitaño, recorded at Vituchi’s Studio by Tavo Castillo, and co-produced, mixed and mastered by Lalo Williams.
Three years later Brujas del Mar was released on PsycheDOOMelic Records label.
In 2008 the successor Rituales Interiores saw the light of day through I Hate label.
Latest album to date Veneración del Fuego was released in 2012 again through I Hate.
The band name translates to Hermit's Kingdom (approximately anyway).
The current line-up consists of:
Marcos Coifman on bass
Tania Duarte doing the vocals
Eloy Arturo on guitars

El de la sombra, el del halcón
Quise enseñarte los momentos quietos
Tu pensamiento es también tu prisión
Quiero ver tus ojos caer
Quiero ver tu sangre correr
Ojos abiertos en la tempestad
Siento en tu frente el beso del frío
En tu descenso encontraste verdad
Quiero ver tu cuerpo ceder
Quiero ser tu oscuro placer
Cuando el universo devore mi carne
Cuando tus torrentes colmen mi ilusión
Quiero ver tu voz renacer
Quiero hoy volver a creer
The song "Despertar" by Reino Ermitaño is a deep and introspective piece that reveals a lot of the human psyche that is often left veiled. The opening line, "Quise aprender los lenguajes secretos" (I wanted to learn the secret languages), speaks to the yearning of people to understand the world beyond their superficial experience. The singer expresses the desire to comprehend the shadow side of life, to be like a falcon that sees beyond, and the quiet moments that exist beyond the loudness of everyday life.
As the song progresses, the singer breaks down the barriers of this world's illusions and speaks about the need to see beyond them. "Con la pureza del salto al vacío" (With the purity of the leap into the abyss) speaks to the need to shed the superficialities and jump into the abyss to seek a higher truth. The singer recognizes the pain and the struggle that comes with that journey, "Siento en tu frente el beso del frío" (I feel the kiss of the cold on your forehead), but affirms that it is only in taking that step, that we can achieve a higher understanding.
The singer then turns to someone specifically, "Quiero ver tu cuerpo ceder, quiero ser tu oscuro placer" (I want to see your body give in, I want to be your dark pleasure). This could be interpreted in a number of ways - perhaps it is a lover they are addressing and the statement speaks to the pleasure of surrendering to passion. Alternatively, it could be addressing the concept of death or transcendence and advocating a willingness to let go of mundane attachments. The final line, "Quiero hoy volver a creer" (I want to believe again today), speaks to the constant need to re-affirm our beliefs and embrace our journey towards enlightenment.
