Biography: Rhys Fulber was born in Vancouver, Canada on October 10th, 1970. His father was born in Germany and his mother was from Great Britain. He was exposed to the music of Led Zeppelin and Kraftwerk through his musician father (who took him along to see Kraftwerk live in 1975) and with instruments always in the house, started drumming at a very early age. His father later built and ran a recording studio, catering toward the local punk rock scene where Rhys spent a lot of time. In 1984 Rhys started becoming more interested in electronic music and got his first synthesizer. In 1986, he became friends with Bill Leeb formerly of Skinny Puppy.

In the late ‘90’s Fulber also began work on his solo project Conjure One; and re-joined Bill Leeb to work on new Delerium songs.
After producing Paradise Lost’s Symbol of Life album, he worked on Delerium’s Chimera as one of Leeb’s main partners in 2003. The two also completed Front Line Assembly’s Civilization in 2004. Make a Wish

It's over now
You can close your eyes it's over
Baby, baby, baby
Make a wish
Tell me have you ever been afraid like this
(It's over now)
I've seen it watching me
That misty thing
Without a face
It weaves my thoughts
Lined them up in black lace
It buries my shape
And leaves no trace
Tomorrow I will have no shame
And I will start again
Make a wish
Tell me have you ever felt alone like this
(Over now)
Better do it, sure
Just wishing
I could move in some more
Tomorrow I will have no shame
And I will start again
Make a wish
(You can close your eyes it's over now)
Baby I have never been afraid like this
(You can close your eyes it's over now)
Make a wish
I took off my shoes
I took off my face
And then I undid the buttons on my dress
(I will start again)
Make a wish
You can close your eyes it's over now
Tell me have you ever been exposed like this
(You can look into your mind)
Baby, baby, baby
Feels like a kiss
(You can close your eyes and start again)
I bet you never thought that I could feel like this
Tomorrow I will have no shame
Tomorrow I will have no shame
Make a wish
The lyrics of Rhys Fulber's song 'Make a Wish' seem to be about confronting and overcoming one's inner demons. The singer of the song urges the listener to close their eyes and forget about their fears as they will soon fade away. The misty thing without a face is a metaphor for the singer's darkest thoughts that seem to have the power to envelop her entirely. But she wants to leave them behind and start afresh the next day. There is a sense of renewal and empowerment in the lyrics as the singer says that she will have no shame tomorrow and that she can start again. The lyrics tell us that it is possible to confront our fears and come out stronger in the end.
