Saint Fire
Ring of Fire Lyrics

And left you inspired
How many dreams have left you dry
To find your desire
How many people never learn
To open their eyes
How many bridges will they burn
With so many lies?
Nothing really matters
Saint fire, call your flame
From the mountain
Saint fire, light the way
Burn the darkness
Saint fire, judgement day
Comes just like a lonely dancer
Calling on visions from the past
The people decide
What to destroy and what should last
The facts are denied
Burning hearts can never
Stay asleep forever
Saint fire, call your flame
From the mountain
Saint fire, light the way
Burn the darkness
Saint fire, judgement day
Comes just like a lonely dancer
In "Saint Fire" by Ring of Fire, the lyrics reflect on the idea of inspiration, desire, and truth. It begins by questioning the listener's experiences: "How many teardrops have you cried / And left you inspired / How many dreams have left you dry / To find your desire." These lines suggest that sometimes pain or disappointment can lead to inspiration or finding what truly makes one happy. However, it also raises the question of how many people fail to realize their true desires: "How many people never learn / To open their eyes / How many bridges will they burn / With so many lies?"
The chorus shifts to the idea of "Saint Fire," calling for a fire to burn away darkness and bring judgment. It suggests an almost divine force that can bring justice to the world. It is said that Saint Fire will come "just like a lonely dancer," indicating that this force may come in silently and subtly.
The second verse speaks of people's decisions and actions, and how they can lead to destruction or preservation. The line "Burning hearts can never / Stay asleep forever" speaks to the idea that passion and fire cannot be contained or subdued for long. Like the first verse, this section raises questions about how people make choices and prioritize what should last.
Overall, the song's message seems to be about finding inspiration and desire despite pain or difficulty, and calling for a force of justice to bring clarity and truth to the world.

The last resort, I'm out of trust
I wanna leave and I wanna love
The night is cold, my brain is fucked
I promise I won't fall or lose
Gimme your hand and wait for me
Four months a year's better than nothing
I saw your face
There was a place where I finally found where I feel safe
I spent time
In fucking bars when I should be in your trustful arms
I'm stronger than you when I'm asleep
When I wake up I feel fucking weak
I dream of a day when I'll wake up
Feeling at home, feeling like me
I saw your face
There was a place where I finally found where I feel safe
I spent time
In fucking bars when I should be in your trustful arms
This is the time for me to stop
Worrying about shit I can't control
People are dumb and my heart is numb
But I can still see what's beautiful
