In March 2010 she released her debut EP Theater Island which was followed by her first full-length We Sink, released on September 2, 2011 - a pop record, that sounds like a dream: sweet and weird at the same time. Critical response was largely positive, with praise often aimed at the "delightful and beautiful" piano play and the delicate vocal delivery. The songwriting was also celebrated for its "dream-like" quality and "dark surrealism". Sóley herself described her lyrics as "Dreamy, surrealistic and in their own world", expressing her hope that listeners will decipher their own meaning from the words.
A piano album composed and performed entirely by Sóley, entitled Krómantík (Chrome Antiques), was released on 18 July,2014. Work is already underway on a second LP as well, which is to be released sometime in 2015. And Sóley hopes to tour the world after some planned appearances in Iceland Media and a music festival.

Does he still love me?
Then I'll crawl slowly to him
Grab him hold and touch
If my mind is the devil
I will have to leave
Otherwise we'll grow together
Do you want me to dance with you?
In Sóley's song "Devil", the artist dives into the internal conflict between good and evil within oneself. The singer is questioning whether she has given in to her dark side and danced with the devil. She asks if he still loves her and then contemplates crawling towards him, grabbing hold of him and touching him. This could be interpreted as either accepting and indulging in her bad choices or trying to overcome her inner demons by confronting them.
The following lines suggest that her mind may be her own devil, and she may need to distance herself from it. However, there is also a contradictory thought of growing together with it. She implies that it is never sunny anyway, indicating that life is not perfect, and there will always be darkness lurking around the corner. She then poses the question to the devil himself, "Do you want me to dance with you?" This could mean she is contemplating giving in to her darker side and wondering if the devil himself is enticing her towards it.
Overall, the song is a hauntingly beautiful piece that explores the human dilemma of choosing between good and evil, often the internal struggle we all experience. Is it easier to give in to our bad side or fight against it? The song does not give a definite solution but instead leaves it up to the listener's interpretation.
