SPEETK is an electro/triphop band from south London.
A combination of dark soulful and jazzy female vocals, some bold hypnotic bass undertones tied together with sweeping synth sounds and sharp beats. Their aesthetic evidently contains aspects of electronica, synth-rock and synth-pop making their style edgy and intoxicating.

Lyrics:
Out Of The Dark
Dripping sun
slip slide away
take with you dregs of
an unfiltered day
leave nothing behind
but the hint of a sigh
envelope the world
leave sparks in the sky
Deep in the darkness
Depths undiscovered
Thankful our fathers
Our Mothers in all of us
So scared of falling
Not knowing how long for
until we can save ourselves
hitting the floor.

Slip slide away
Take with you dregs
Of an unfiltered day
Leave nothing behind
But the hint of a sigh
Envelope the world
Deep in the darkness
Depths undiscovered
Thankful our fathers
Our Mothers in all of us
So scared of falling
Not knowing how long for
Until we can save ourselves
Hitting the floor
The lyrics of SPEETK's song "Out Of The Dark" are quite profound, and their multiple interpretations can cater to people of different mindsets. The opening line, "Dripping sun," indicates a beacon of hope, shining upon the person who has stayed in the dark for an extended period. The following lines, "Slip slide away, Take with you dregs, Of an unfiltered day," portray the readiness of the person to leave behind their past experiences, which were full of unpleasant moments.
The verses go on to state that the person must leave behind nothing except for a sense of relief, showcased through the line, "But the hint of a sigh." If the person does so, they will envelop the world, and their presence will leave "sparks in the sky." As the song progresses, you can see how it alludes to the numerous challenges that life throws our way. It acknowledges the fact that sometimes, we find ourselves in a predicament so grave that we are unsure about what's to become of us. We feel hopeless and terrified of things that we might not even fathom, given times like these.
The lyrics of "Out Of The Dark" provide an insightful description of taking your life ahead despite the prevailing uncertainty about the future. It is a comforting companion to everyone who is looking for some assurance and the audacity to move on, even if there appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel.
