Just Show Me How To Love You
Sarah Brightman(莎拉布萊曼) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Tu cosa fai stasera?

E baciarsi e capirsi e stringersi
Poi non basta mai
Si fa tardi ma dai
Dove corri a quest'ora?

Just show me how to love you
Io non ti lascio più
Gabbiano di scogliera
Io sto una favola e tu?
Just show me how to love you

Fame o febbre o quel che sia
Mi ci sento a casa mia
Dentro questo sogno da buttare via
Non mi sembra vero ma
Sembra un'altra la città

E non basta mai
Tante cose da dirsi
E baciarsi e capirsi e stringersi
E non basta mai
È già tardi ma dai
Dove torni a quest'ora?

Just show me how to love you
E ci ridiamo su
Gabbiano di scogliera
Ma dov'eri nascosto
Dov'eri fin'ora?

Tu cosa fai stasera?
Ci ridiamo su
Magari un'altra sera

Ed è già domattina
E la luna la spegni tu!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song Just Show Me How to Love You by Sarah Brightman, José Cura, and The London Symphony Orchestra talk about a passionate and impulsive encounter between two people. The singer asks the other person to stay a while longer, as the atmosphere is bewitching her. She wants to do something to make him her prisoner, but she questions why she had to fall for him so quickly. The day seems crazy, but the moon is her friend, and if he has a dream he wants to throw away, they can do it together, alone in the middle of the city. They are just friends, for now.

As the night progresses, they don't seem to be able to say or do enough of what they want. They keep wanting to kiss, understand each other, and hold onto each other tightly; time never seems to be enough. They are reluctant to part ways, and the singer wonders where the other person is going at this hour. She wants him to show her how to love, and promises that she won't let him go. She feels at home with him, like she has a fever or an insatiable hunger. The city they are in seems different to her, like it is another city, another world. They laugh it off on the cliffs like seagulls, feeling like they are part of a fairytale.

I’m sorry to those who disagree with me but Sarah Brightman will always be the original Christine Daaé to me.

@dianabecerra8214

Yessss!! I agreeeee! Eternal Christine!

@Just_awanderingmusician

She is our LND Christine now, the renowned Christine Daaé

@fffw1826

Yup. Nobody can replace her as Christine Daae. I watched the Phantom of the Opera for the first time in 2009 when I was still 10 y.o. from my grand dad video collections. I watched it secretly. Ha, ha, ha, ..... . Even, as a little boy, I fell for Sarah Brightman due to her voice as well her charm as Christine at the Phantom of the Opera. I also had watched some versions of the Phantom of the Opera but for me Sarah Brightman is the best.

The craftsmanship in that palace will never again be duplicated. A perfect setting for two exquisite voices.

Sara Brightman, sublime, celestial.

@phantomphantom1807

Le problème c'est que même avec une star mondiale + une star Française comme Florent Pagny les radios françaises ne jouent jamais ce genre de musique! Il faudrait tous envoyer des mails aux programmateurs radios pour leurs mettre la pression...
