In 2003 they sort of slipped away from the music scene after 3 critically acclaimed national releases, plenty of radio success and a reputation for a great live show. They are back with a noteworthy 4th project Straight Back to Kansas, flavored with their unabashed storyteller lyrics and frank mid-western rock and roll style that begs a closer listen. This record is bound to not only please the droves of Satellite Soul’s faithful fans, but will undoubtedly gain them a new, wider audience. The sound is vaguely similar to the first three projects, but with a decidedly more country flair and a lot more idealism which you might just call, well, confidence.
