The lyrics to Scissor Sisters' song Lovers in the Backseat are about two strangers who meet in a public place and become attracted to each other. The singer is watching others be intimate while he remains alone, but it's unclear whether he is too shy to make a move, or if he is simply enjoying the thrill of watching others.
