Dinner, dancing, drinks, and then back to my pad.
Bang, bang, bang â?? who's the man?
You were a naughty girl, the best I've ever had.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes' that's what she said.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes and come to bed.
'I've got my needs, and I don't need sleep.'
It used to be just me, but that's how one and one makes three.
Three months later on the phone I've got your dad.
He's not a happy man, no he was flipping mad.
He's got the hump - you got the bump.
Now I got you and you got everything I had.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes' that's what she said.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes and come to bed.
'I've got my needs, and I don't need sleep.'
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes and come to bed'
It used to be just me, but that's how one and one makes three.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes' that's what she said.
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes and come to bed.
'I've got my needs, and I don't need sleep.'
'Take off your clothes, take off your clothes and come to bed'
At first glance, the lyrics to Scouting for Girls' song "1+1" may seem lighthearted and playful. However, upon closer inspection, they tell the story of a one-night stand that leads to an unexpected pregnancy and the challenges that come with it.
The first verse describes the initial encounter between the singer and his partner, highlighting the excitement and sensuality of the moment. The repetition of "take off your clothes" in the chorus emphasizes the physical nature of their relationship and the strong desire they have for each other.
However, when the singer receives a call from the partner's angry father three months later, the tone changes dramatically. The line "now I got you and you got everything I had" suggests that the singer was not prepared for the consequences of their actions and may have taken risks without considering the potential outcomes. The repeated line "that's how one and one makes three" reinforces the idea that their choices had real and significant consequences.
Overall, "1+1" is a cautionary tale about the importance of considering the long-term effects of our decisions, especially when it comes to matters of love and sexuality.
