It was formed by members of Dance Gavin Dance, Farewell Unknown, Ghost Runner on Third, and Atherton. The band currently features vocalist Jon Mess, guitarist Will Swan, drummer Matt Mingus, guitarist Martin Bianchini, and bassist Jordan McCoy. Eric Lodge, also of Dance Gavin Dance, was the bassist until 2013. They self-released their eponymous debut EP on September 1, 2011. It was reissued through Blue Swan Records as a limited, numbered vinyl 10" which was re-recorded in 2014. Secret Band released their debut self-titled full-length album on July 31, 2014.

tbh this should have been the final song on the LP2 album. Or switch the track placements and the names. Secret Moon has the real hauntingly epic outro, but to me this song is more impressive in its entirety. This song is a mix of Meat Fetish and Projectile Comet, and I love it. Reminds me of like a final boss in a game like Devil May Cry.
