Seether gained mainstream popularity in 2002 with their US Active Rock number one single "Fine Again", and their success was sustained in 2004 with the single "Broken", which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100. They have experienced continued success with number one hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, such as "Remedy", "Fake It", "Country Song", "Words as Weapons", and "Let You Down". The band currently consists of lead vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan, bassist Dale Stewart, drummer John Humphrey and guitarist Corey Lowery (exStuck Mojo, Stereomud}. Seether has undergone several lineup changes since their formation in 1999, with vocalist/guitarist Shaun Morgan being the only constant member.

Seether Lyrics

These lyrics are in Afrikaans, one of South Africa's official languages, and translate to:
"Come with me, we'll leave the others behind. Come with me and we'll see what happens. We're so glad it's the end of the album. Come with me, we want to make it all better. You can stay here once you've experienced it all. The album is over and we're looking for a cold beer. Come drink with me, there's so much to talk about. Come with me, we want to make it all better."
It's interesting to note that Seether's frontman, Shaun Morgan, is originally from South Africa, and the use of Afrikaans in these lyrics could be a nod to his roots. The song itself, "Interlude/Outro," is an instrumental track that follows the last listed song on Seether's album "Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces." The lyrics are spoken by someone who is inviting the listener to come along with them and celebrate the end of the album, perhaps as a way to say goodbye to a journey that has come to an end.

Shaun's native language was Afrikaans, one of South Africa's 12 official languages besides English and, believe it or not, even South African Sign Language. Wikipedia says that their Sign Language became an official language in 2023!
